Hello,

I have 2 running activities whic are visible by everyone:

https://www.strava.com/activities/14682653319
https://www.strava.com/activities/14762904983

Those 2 runs are going through the segment:

https://www.strava.com/segments/39377225

If, I look each activity one by one, the segment is detected, I can see my time.

But when I looking at the Local Legend stats, Strava considers that I didn’t do any passage, my counter is always lockd with 0.

What’s happening?

The segment has been created after the 2 runs, is this a reason? If yes, that is strange as the time done are taken into acount. My time is visible in the yearly ranking on the segment.

Sop, time is taken into account by number of segments activiation not? Totally weird.

I have opened a ticket to Strava but I had only automatic answer from bots not very smart. Absolutely useless.

I did many things :

- change the visibility “everyone” to “only me” then back to “everyone”

- change the kind of activities from Run to Bike then back to Run

- refresh the performances of the activity
...
no impact at the end...

Do you have an idea on how I can manage this?

As you have suspected the local legend feature only counts activities that are uploaded after the segment was created. That is different to the segment times, those are calculated retroactively. If its very important to you could delete your activities and upload them anew but you would lose the kudos and it isn’t really worth the trouble.

Thank you Jan_Mantau for the confirmation.
That is really anoying to have such way of coding the LL counter at the opposite way of the segment times.
I like simple logic, this one is not.

Anyway, thank you again for the comment.

I dunno I definitely have some examples of an existing segment (or one I created after the first time on that stretch), completing it a dozen times within 90 days, but then LL saying I have 4 efforts on it. Sometimes they are loops, I'll have to look closer, but does LL count ALL completions or only on different days?

@arc88 all completions count. (Edit to add: Public completions.)

@arc88 This would be another problem, this topic is about segment efforts that were uploaded before the segment was created.

Technically if I create a segment after going on that road the first time today, it would have been uploaded before the segment was created. Or for example, I just made a segment for a detour you're not "supposed" to ride and I've done it about 6 times to date. However I only created the segment yesterday so LL says nothing. I understand why some of my counts don't match now but I agree retroactive LL should be calculated like how all segment efforts are gathered.
