Curiosity. This, right here, is why we venture into the world. To see what is behind the secret gate. To take the hidden path and discover what’s out there. If you are, like me, a Tolkien fan, the above quote and its owner should sound familiar.
If not, somehow those words still hit the same - a sense of curiosity, discovery and perseverance is part of being human every time we leave our home, but especially when exercising in nature, discovering new landscapes on our adventures and sharing our experiences with the world.
There is no better feeling than discovering a new hidden segment or an off-road path that might not be widely known - not to mention grabbing that KOM/QOM!
For me, one of those segments is hidden above my hometown of Omis (Croatia) in the mountain of Biokovo. This segment (https://www.strava.com/segments/15751636) is challenging, but being surrounded by the Biokovo National Park flora and being able to see an amazing view of the Adriatic coastline makes it all worth it!
