As I understand it, most (all)? watch support assumes you want to track your run with your watch and then sync it to strava afterwards.
However, what I'd like to do is continue to use the strava app to track the run (in part so I get the audio cues every kilometer), but be able to start the run from my watch and have things like heartrate synced.
Is this possible with any watches?

Hello @xorsyst
Thanks for posting about this.
On the Apple Watch, you can you can enable real-time audio feedback to alert you when you start, pause, resume, and stop your activity. You can also hear feedback about your total distance and if you're recording run activities, the pace on your last split, and the total average split pace. More details here
On Android watches running Wear OS3 and higher, there are audio cues for the start/stop of the activity. We have an existing feature suggestion here to expand this functionality. We would welcome your vote (hit the kudos button) and any comments you would like to add.
I hope this is helpful information. Let us know if you have further questions.
