🎾 Add activity type: Padel

Hi, it'd be nice to see Padel as a new activity type 🙂

It's pretty popular in the world and would match racquet sports that has been added recently (thank you for that!):

According to the FIP (International Padel Federation), over 25 million people play padel in over 90 countries around the world.

This is beyond a joke now. Get your act together Strava and listen to your users. Even a response would be a good start...

Sub cancelled was up for renewal in a week. If Strava can't deliever support for a sport played by 30 million people which even managed to have 40% female players, it's not worth the money.

I fully agree! Please add padel. It is incredibly popular in Europe.

One of the fastest growing sports in Netherlands. Please add the sport type. No need to change much in version 1 of the profile, just use the same as for a similar sport. Just the correct naming in the activity overview is already a big plus!

I've given up on this - Strava clearly has no intention to add padel. I mean how difficult can it be to do ? When my strava pro membership ends this summer I will not be renewing

At the moment it's a must have activity, all major manufactures are missing Padel from theirs activities list, not only Strava.

Not sure about that statement. One thing I know for sure, as I have a watch, GARMIN has it!!!! SO I STOPPED MY STRAVA SUBSCRIPTION and started using the GARMIN CONNECT APP! So cool.

I Have a Garmin Watch and it doesn't have Padel only SUP (Padel in water on top of a big board) not the same.
I'm referring to Padel with a racquet and yellow tenis ball.

Hi, then you have an old Garmin or you need to update it. You can then add the activity. I have a Garmin forerunner 265s and I have Padel under racket activities. As you can see here!

I have a Garmin Vivoactive 3, Galaxy Watch 6 Classic and a Huawei GT2 Pro, none has Padel as an activity...
I have to sell all of those and buy one that has Padel.... ehehe

Not all Garmin watches have padel as an activity type, you need to have update 20.30. Older watches like the first Venu won't get this update. Newer watches like venu2,3, fenix 7, forerunner 265 etc will have this activity type.

How difficult can it be to add a sport type?!
When I see the other types that are barely known in Europe, I guess Strava is mainly focussing on the States.
I assume I have to search for another app than Strava. Too bad, because it is a good app, but not supporting my main sport.
