It would be really useful to enable the ability for your users to edit an activity they have completed.  Stats that could be added would include time, distance, elevation gain, heart rate, calories etc.

Sometimes we forget to start an activity but when we remember to add it we have to let it run for the whole duration so it records the time spent on that activity. For example today I did pilates, I forgot to start the activity, so I added it later but I only let it run for 6 seconds rather than the 45 mins thinking I could stop the activity, have it uploaded to my time line and simply edit the duration to 45 min. Sadly this does not seem possible. I'm sure other users would like to be able to amend their session so it can be adjusted to reflect time, distance and duration for other activities. So hopefully this makes sense and other users will find this feature equally useful. Thank you.

You can always just add a "manual entry" with the details of the missing portion of activity.  Say, if you were out running and forgot to start your watch until you were half a mile into the run.  You could just add a "manual activity" with a distance of 0.5 miles and add in the time you estimated it took you.  For your pilates example, you could just add a "manual activity" and include the correct 45 minute duration so it wouldn't look like a 6 second activity.

  • I did not know that was possible. I'll check and see. Thank you. Yes it looks like this is possible so thank you for sharing.

@j1mreeves - To add a manual activity, just click on the little "+" sign in the top left on the app or the top right on the desktop browser program and select "manual entry".  It should be pretty straight forward from there.  Good luck and I hope that helps with your situation.

You should allow the possibility to add a distance to an indoor biking activity recorded with a watch.

For the moment we have to create a new activity to add a distance manually, but we lose everything recorded by the watch... It shouldn't be heart rate OR distance but BOTH.

add a feature to correct incorrect distance data from indoor activities such as treadmill, and add distance, watts, etc to indoor row/spin/similar from only heart rate or watch data, etc.

Awesome that you can manually record a bike ride and add tenths of a mile, but why can I not add elevation gain to the manual upload?? Great for when I have the data, but an error occurs in my wahoo app and I need to manually upload. Can this feature please be added!

Hey there, thanks for submitting this suggestion. The functionality to manually enter elevation data already exists within Strava. To find it, login to the website and create a manual activity by clicking on the upper right + symbol and hovering to "Add Manual Entry". Thank you for your contribution and effort to help our online forums to continue to grow.

Ahhh sick. I never use the computer usually for strava. Ok then, could that tiny little section be added to the mobile application? That would be way more beneficial and more simple to complete, as I had no idea it could have been done on the computer. Thanks for letting me know that though.

Hello,

I think this feature would improve a lot strava users.

The biggest issue (i think) is regarding indoor activities when the GPS can't read speed and distance (even though it has power and cadence data). If it is because it counts for challenges and rewards, on possibility to solve it was that edited activities would not count for it, but at least the athlete had the possibility of better monitoring the trainings result...

I’d appreciate this as despite calibrating my garmin fenix 6s after every treadmill run then saving, it always uploads to Strava as the unedited distance which is longer than what I actually ran
