Add Local Legends for more sports / activity types

I am a Strava subscriber and ride an eMTB and I cannot be a Local Legend. My mate who is not a subscriber, we ride together regularly, has plenty of Local Legends. I ride off road far more that him, but as a subscriber I do not count as a Local Legend because I ride an eMTB.

Why are there no Electric Mountain Bike Ride segment Local Legends?

Also, the PC segment search is all but useless it matches any words in the search criteria

Type in

Escalator, Eleebana, New South Wales, Australia

and results from all over the world, 300+ come up

there is only one Escalator, Eleebana, New South Wales, Australia in the world, but I cannot find it in segment search.

And how do I find an eMTB segment?

I recently started riding a pedal assist ebike as well and have this same issue.  None of the cycling segments carried over to ebikes with their own leaderboards, they must be made all over again.  I've started making some locally and realized there is also no way to view ebike segments on the Strava map.

In the Winter I nordic ski and back country ski. I'd love to see who has skinned the local mountain the most times. Or who has done one nordic segment the most times. We have Segments and crowns. Local legend is the next logical step.

Hello folks, sharing a small update here! Local Legend launched in 2020 as a fun and inclusive feature that allows any Strava cyclist or runner who loves a certain segment to be a winner, even if they aren’t the fastest or most intense athlete out there. We are happy to announce that we have expanded this feature to the following sport types:

• Walk
• Hike
• Alpine Ski
• Backcountry Ski
• Nordic Ski
• Snowboard

A bit disappointed that e-MTB still isn't included but it's good that it's expanding. Hopefully further roll outs are not out of the question?

Can I suggest we have a local legends feature for open water swim segments as we do for cycling and running? I swim many laps of my local lake in the summer https://www.strava.com/segments/9785372 but I'd love to know how I stack up against the really keen swimmers.

Yes I agree! With the open water swimming courses now available around buoys, segments are able to be created and it would be great to see the work my local peers are putting in and how much I am comparatively doing, just the same as runs and rides.
