Originally posted in the features chat, but I think this is the appropriate place:

It would be awesome if members of clubs could receive notifications for all posts. Or have the ability to opt into notifications for posts in each club they are in. Our running group has 256 people in our private club and I learned after 250 members notifications for posts in the club no longer happen. We use Strava to plan cheer squads, hangouts, carpooling, meeting up for runs, races, and so much more. This would really help make clubs valuable for Strava users when more than 250 people are in them. Without notifications for club members the club just becomes a leader board.

This absolutely needs to happen so that the club pages are useful.

It would be great to get notifications in the app on runs and other events members of large groups are planning. Currently I have to search daily to see if there are any updates which is not user friendly.

I totally agree! This is a crucial feature for our club.

As an owner of a private Strava club who uses this function for community management — it would be very helpful if members could opt in to notifications for posts as we communicate a ton of information this way. Thank you.

I believe that the club is still a feature that could be better valued, so I understand that the limitation to only 250 people is problematic in your case. It is evenmore surprising since public club doesn't seems to have this limitation. Ironicaly, 250 people in, sound to me that your use of the "club feature" is so valuable to your club member that they massively join the club.

A fine tuning of information level as stressed by @Nb  would be a neat idea.

In my mind, the experience of those using private club in strava to "communicate, create appointment etc..."should be valued and could inspire new (maybe very simple) tools or feature to improve the club feature.

On the other side: I would like to opt out of notifications of the clubs I am part of. I get a notification for every(!) post a club posts on their timeline. I like to see the posts, but not the notifications. “Take a look at the new message from Club”

Strava spams me with useless kudos about uploaded activities every day. But here is a situation where I would really want to have a notification and there wasn't one.

I signed to a club event - a group run. Then the event organizer changed the run start time from 9 am to 7 am, however I was never notified about that. I received no less than 3 reminders from Strava to get ready for the club run at 9 am. I also received an e-mail a day before that reminded me about the 9 am run. Also, there is still a notification that shows 9 am if I click at the bell 🔔 icon at the top of the app. It is only if I open the event details, it shows the updated time.

Needless to say, it was a frustrating experience when I came to the group run and there was nobody.

I think there should be a new notification when any details of an event get updated, especially the start time.
