Often, we need certain segments to only come into effect from activities that were carried out on certain dates.

Thus, it would be important to have the possibility of Strava's algorithm only 'MATCHING' activities from/up to a certain DATE-TIME that the author of the segment establishes.

Is it possible?

Thanks for submitting your idea. Do you mean having an expiration date, perhaps? I could see this applied to events such as races, where certain roads are closed to vehicles or a route is only available for a certain period of time. Would you envision this being implemented as an option one could toggle on/off during the segment creation process?

The ideal would be able we can to set the 'period of validity' of each segment (ALL-TIME or between INITIAL DATE-TIME and FINAL-DATE-TIME).

We have exactly the same request, we need a segment with a from date.

We have updated a small piece of the MTB track and it's 50 seconds slower right now, but whatever we try with creating new segments, we keep seeing the old rides from before the change on this track.
