E-bike live segment

It would be great if the live segment feature will work with e-bike / e-mountainbike segments. It should works in the Strava app and with bike computers (Hammerhead, Garmin, Wahoo).

Yes, I know in this case not only the athlete who is racing, a lot also depends on the e-bike, but it would be very interesting on technical climbs, where more depends on the human than the bike.

100%! I just realized today, only cycling segments sync. I even went through the trouble of un-starring all my non-e-bike segments for testing and investigating if it was linked to the ride type. Wahoo doesn't give us a ride type during the ride beyond indoor/outdoor. Not that we would be able to even read the info during the ride, but it would be super cool to see it post segment, live. It's also nice having the audible when the segment starts. (Wahoo Bolt v2, Roam). I use live segments and the same device for all cycling. -edits, typos, added info

Just to add I came here to add this very request - really like the feature with my road bike. Having got an e-bike for commuting I really miss it - I understand why given the variation in e-bikes it doesn't make sense to compare to segment result for other riders - but it would really helpful to see my segment results against past me on previous e-bike trips.

I think I started this whole e-bike discussion some time ago and the discussion that followed but my question was pretty simple - can we have e-bike segments?   Based on what I’ve seen lately on Strava, my rides now have e-bike segments, including past efforts of other e-bike riders, with KOM rankings.  So I think Strava finally did it - thanks.

Thanks - I had tried to create a segment on Friday - and it didn't appear, but when I went back in today it was!! I obviously should have given it a minute or two - thanks

Yes, having the cycling apart from e-bike has been a great improvement! Having the whole separate sport/ride type keeps them cleanly separated, which is nice. Although, I still cannot sync e-bike live segments specifically. I can test this almost in real time with my wahoo syncing over wifi. I star any cycling segment that isn't down hill, and it comes over. The same segment in e-bike "sport/mode" does not sync at all. This was just me piling on the idea of having live segments as well. But I appreciate what's there; I'm just bumping the idea.
