If a route was flat you have a runner running a flat surface in the breakdown. If the route was hilly in parts you have an icon of runners going over some hills. If the run incorporated some tough inclines then the icon is the runner struggling up a hill. You could have different icons for different things: Tempo runs, weight training, long run, etc: It will help strava be more visually engaging.

Hello @MBHUNTER

Thank you for posting about this.   Could we get some additional details from you on your idea?  Would you be able to specify if you are talking about having these icons display on activities, routes, segments or something else?

We kindly ask that you review our Ideas guidelines, particularly the “What makes a good idea” section, to ensure that your ideas are clear, concise, and can reach as many others as possible.

Again, thank you for your post and effort to help our online forums to continue to grow.

On activities and in the breakdown of the activity. The icons don't just have to be representations of incline. There could be ones for different elements. Pace, effort, activity type, etc: Have an awesome holiday 🎄

Hello. We wanted to let you know that your idea submission from December of 2022 will be archived.  Some of what you're suggesting does exist - we have a different icon for each activity type:  eg. bike, run, walk, weight training etc.  We don't have plans to develop different icons for different types of runs at this time, but we thank you for your contribution.

Please note that your feedback is valuable to Strava. As stated in our Community Idea Guidelines, we receive many idea submissions each week, and realistically, there may be various reasons that prevent us from including an idea on our Product Roadmap.

We want to thank you for taking the time to submit your idea and we look forward to your continued contributions to the Strava Community.
