I think it would be great to allow users a Kudo Bomb to blast 50 kudos at once to all friends or a selected group of friends once they login into the app.

This is important because:

  • We have so many Strava friends online and so little time to like every post individually
  • The athlete can select which friends would receive a kudo bomb (favorited friends)
  • The Kudo Bomb will be limited in supply each month. You can earn kudo bombs based on the number of challenges you complete

I would use this on days when I just want to login and send out likes fast.

Sounds like a really good way to dilute the "meaning" of a kudo.  Right now, I know that when I receive a kudo from someone, I know they had to actually look at my activity to some degree.  Getting them would be totally meaningless to me if I knew they didn't even have to know I did an activity to give me a kudo for it.  More is not always better.  Just my opinion though.

I understand.

Just trying to save time and limit clicks you were going to give. That’s why there’s a limited supply and will probably only used for favorite accounts once or twice a month.

Another option is only allowing it for group sessions where there was a big group of riders or runners together. They were on it together so should be option to like all at once.

On Zwift, you can give ride ons to multiple riders all around us. It is fun.

I laugh at times because I get kudos from people for a half mile jog as a cool down after a race or 1 mile spin around a parking lot while testing some adjustments to my bike.  Kudos when people just blindly give them are a joke.  To me, kudos should be given to activities for a reason, not just for the point of giving more kudos.  Unique activities, good achievements, fun interactions.  Blindly giving kudos and just trying to find a faster way to give more out without even looking at an activity takes away any value they may have to start with.

I see your point. I think that's why it should be limited in supply. If they use a kudo bomb, it would still mean that it was important enough for them to login and support their friends.

Also, I think every activity you record has value because it can help other athletes learn how to train more like you.

Cooldowns after races are important.

Testing your bike after adjusting it is important to make sure you are safe and don't get injured.

I record my walks and sauna for recovery. These are important to me. It isn't important to all my friends, so it would be great for them to filter it if they want to. But I think newer athletes can learn from all parts of training that were valuable enough for us to record.

Thanks for this suggestion. The Kudos bomb already exists for scenarios in which your activity was grouped with others'. You can give every athlete in a group activity kudos without going into each individual activity.

To perform this action, go to your group activity, tap on the "Manage Group" button, lightly shake your phone. It will ask if you want to send kudos to all the athletes. Confirm the action, and that's it.
