Local Language Display on Dashboard & Maps

Hello there! I want to share a simple idea that could make Strava's stunning maps even better. How about showing geographic names on activity maps and their thumbnails in the local language instead? As far as I know, English names will take priority over all other names as long as they are available from the data source OpenStreetMap under the current display mechanism.

Here are some points that I think why it is a good idea:

1. Personal Touch: Seeing familiar local names in our language adds a personal touch to our activities. It makes the experience more meaningful.

2. Connection: It helps users around the world connect better with their activities. It's all about feeling that special bond with your workouts and adventures.

3. Respect for Culture: English is international, but it would be better to show respect for different cultures and languages. Each geographic name has a unique meaning in its own language.

Now, I understand that this might be a bit inconvenient when  rendering maps. But I truly believe it's a step in the right direction to make Strava even more awesome!

To make it easy, I imagine that Strava could let users choose their preferred language for map names. Looking forward to hearing from you all!
