Hi Strava Team,
I think it will be great to add a Recovery Challenge every month using the Strava Recover App.
- Athletes don't recover enough until it's too late
- Athletes get injured, then stop using Strava
- The Recover App is available for all athletes but it is not an ingrained habit
- The Recovery Challenge will gamify recovery using Recover App making it more likely athletes will practice recovery. It should be a 5 Hour Recovery Challenge. If athletes can do 15 minutes a day over 20 days, then they complete the challenge.
- Lottery to win a Strava foam roller, massage gun, or yoga mat or other brand products
- In the future, it will be great if recovery videos are plugged directly into strava so athletes can share a 30 second video on the feed with their friends and this serves as a reminder to recover
An example of when I needed this is now. I haven't been doing enough prehab for marathon training. I just do like 5 minutes in the morning or evening *if* I remember to do it. The challenge will motivate me to do it.
