I think it will be great to add a Recovery Challenge every month using the Strava Recover App.
Athletes don't recover enough until it's too late
Athletes get injured, then stop using Strava
The Recover App is available for all athletes but it is not an ingrained habit
The Recovery Challenge will gamify recovery using Recover App making it more likely athletes will practice recovery. It should be a 5 Hour Recovery Challenge. If athletes can do 15 minutes a day over 20 days, then they complete the challenge.
Lottery to win a Strava foam roller, massage gun, or yoga mat or other brand products
In the future, it will be great if recovery videos are plugged directly into strava so athletes can share a 30 second video on the feed with their friends and this serves as a reminder to recover
An example of when I needed this is now. I haven't been doing enough prehab for marathon training. I just do like 5 minutes in the morning or evening *if* I remember to do it. The challenge will motivate me to do it.
