Request to add the activity type Skierg

When exercising on the Skierg, I have not found an activity type on Strava to pair it with. I am therefore requesting a new activity on Strava for "Skierg". This is a well known machine type for cross country skiers to exercise double poling indoors.

Cant understand why this taking som long time. Skiing is an Olymic sport. So many other strange activities in strava. Get Skierg into strava, (often used also in crossfit)

Just bought a used Concept2 SkiErg. I'm surprised that on both the Polar Flow App or on Strava there is not an activity option for "Virtual Nordic Skiing". Surprised given the growth and sales of these units, and their use in both Cross-Fit and HYROX, as well as extensively used by semi serious to serious Nordic Skiers, there's nothing in either app for usage of a SkiErg!

@stevefleck use ErgData app. It Connects Directly to your strava. Remember not to start Warcraft Also then you get double

Yes, it is possible to choose between many unusual and not so athletic sports, but sadly the Skierg option is not possible. I wonder why does it take so long for them to add it.

I was trying to figure out how to add a ski erg session on strava and only lead to the feature request. This would be most appreciated. I use the virtual row one quite a lot but am unable to track the ski erg the same way.

This would be great if added, especially given the huge popularity of Hydrox fitness competitions and the fact that the SkiErg is one of the disciplines.

We want to let you know that we do not intend to add more activity/sport types to Strava in the foreseeable future, and this feature suggestion will be moved to a status of not currently planned.

We appreciate and understand this is not the answer you were hoping for. We strive to be as transparent as possible and provide updates to our Community when they become available. 

Please remember that we receive a large number of idea submissions, and even some  popular ideas may not make it to the implementation stage. The number of votes an idea gets is one factor among several that’s considered when our product team develops the roadmap.

Lastly, we sincerely hope you will continue recording and uploading your activities to Strava. Here is a list of the Sport types that we currently support. It’s always an option to set your activity to sport type “workout” and indicate more specifics in the activity name.

Well, if there is not even a plan of adding Skierg as an activity then I actuallly am not planning to renew my Strava subscription. So you should not even bother to plan it in the foreseeable future...

How hard can it be to add the sport SkiErg/double poling machine?
That's your main job right? You've got Yoga, Skateboarding and Pickle ball in there, do you think that skateboarders care about Strava? I used to be one and I can tell you that you're wasting your time.

Put some effort into creating SkiErg and be in the forefront. With the competition coming from Garmin it's not hard to be in the lead.
