I think it would be great if Strava partners with Run Disney for a Star Wars Challenge.
What is it?
Get a special Star Wars badge for completing an activity on May 4, 2023, and every May 4 thereafter.
Why is it important?
Run Disney used to offer the Star Wars races at Disney World and then stopped. I think there is a growing interest in Star Wars and many athletes and families love Star Wars. This might motivate more people to run/cycle/exercise on that day in order to get the badge. The new Disney Visions series starts on May 4th. I know there might not be enough time to partner in less than a month, but maybe next year there will be.
How does it work?
Run/cycle and record a 5K, 10K or half marathon on Strava on May 4th.
Athletes who sign up can receive a special digital badge/physical medal to athletes to celebrate their success.
The badges/medals can range from - heroes, lightsabers, mando helmet, baby yoda, milennium falcon, ships, etc.
Randomize the badges so everyone gets a unique badge and surprise.
