I think a Strava Swag Shop will be a great feature for Strava.

This is important because:

  • Athletes want to purchase Strava Swag
  • Athletes can buy Strava-branded racing gear -- socks, shirts, racing singlets, sunglasses, hats, helmets, jerseys, towels, water bottles, soccer balls, puffed up strava stripes logo, strava snowboards, orange stripe adidas nike asics x strava shoes, garmin x strava sports watch, garmin x strava heart rate monitors.
  • Strava can make money like all the fitness brands and gyms do by selling their own gear or partnering with other brands that make the gear.
  • Subscribers can redeem 1 free clothing item per year

An example of when I would want this feature is always during the holidays to gift Strava swag to family and friends.

Thank you Strava!

I seem to remember them having this very thing about 10 years ago.  Tee shirts, jerseys and so forth, even Garmin head units.  When they closed it they said they wanted to focus more on the core business of software development rather than product sales.  I could still see it being a revenue stream if they handle it properly.

@JBW-Florida awesome man. I think it could be great revenue stream and marketing for Strava. Core should be the focus. It's difficult to do multiple things at once, but if Strava could outsource the store, this could work

A great idea. I would also love to see swags for strava developers as well.  Maybe as a token of appreciation or even a shop for qualified app publishers?
