It would be great if you implement a real-time warning System for the community. It would be especially helpful when you are cycling in winter conditions with the danger of black ice along the way. So it could look like this:

The user has the possibility to report such a case to your cloud - either by taking the current GPS Position into Account or by manually selecting on the map later - and other users are notified by a popup Information Like e.g. „Attention: xyz users have reported black ice within the last 2 Hours“ when approaching the Location.

The best and useful thing that can be is when you go out ( ex. Running, cycling, hiking 🥾, and more other activities that we made in nature , is to alert 🚨 people with the weather in their activities , for example,

going for cycling 🚴🏻‍♂️, 1h -2h , to show how the weather will be in the next zone , rain , sun or accidents on some roads , this kind of info can be so useful, to ride safe

going for hiking 🥾, temperature, moisture, animals frequently in those places, the monuments can visit there

Thanks for your app , it’s amazing 🤩

Thanks for submitting your idea to enable weather alerts for planned routes. It has been reviewed by our moderation team and is now open to voting.

There's a similar idea in the Ideas Board about implementing Trail Conditions / Integrating Social Feature into Maps to notify others about other things you mentioned that aren't weather dependent, such as accidents/animals/monuments. Feel free to vote and comment on that idea, also.

Strava route creation is great.

However, I have to check separately a rain forecast map website. Based on my average speed, I can see if it will rain on my planned route.

It would be much more convenient to have directly on the strava map colored areas based on rain forecast. We would have to enter a start date/time, and the map could evolve based on the route progress as we move the mouse over the progress/elevation graph at the bottom of the screen.

Thanks for submitting your idea to include a weather forecast in route creation. Your idea is now open to voting.

This would probably be limited to a restricted date range and reliability would decrease based on how far out the upcoming activity is bound to take place.

Kudos on this one. I would also add Wind speeds and direction. I find wind plays a big deciding role in the direction of my planned route.

Cheers,

Route Planner will be more powerful with weather forecast for the whole planned route with the  ability to choose starting date and time. Also the ability to set total time estimated (or estimated time of finishing the route) will be vital for the forecast (because estimated moving time by route planner is not relevant to forecast).

Route Planner is crucial thing to me, a must have when cycling. This is one of the most important piece to me and it works perfectly.

During shoulder seasons it is always difficult to know what conditions are like in the mountains. Being able to choose a point on a map, and a radius around that point to be able to search recently activities posted by the Strava community would be useful to get an idea for conditions. In order to protect user privacy the activities would show up without any user data. No pictures containing athletes, and no usernames of the original activity athlete or any names/ usernames listed in descriptions. Being any to see any images showing the conditions or descriptions about conditions would be very helpful in early winter for skiing, or early spring for trail running/ hiking.
