I know I can block an athlete, but I wish I could do more.  Strava has people who overdo it and give kudos to everybody.  This is information I don't need or want.  I would like the ability to remove this person from ever appearing on my screen.  Facebook has this.  Strava could even replace the name with "Blocked user" or something.  Seems very simple to implement.

I second this, though I block people (and only rarely) for far more serious infractions than passing out kudos excessively.  I wouldn't mind seeing the person's name listed on club leaderboards, segment leaders, etc., but what I definitely DON'T want to see is their comments on the workouts of others we mutually follow or be notified when those comments are posted.  Similarly, I would not want to see their comments in club discussion threads.  This is how it works on Facebook and other social platforms, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Strava can enhance their existing blocking capabilities to be more in line with "best practices".

Exactly.  It is actually more serious than that.  I just didn't want to make it about this, but the inaction by Strava forces me too.  There is a racist person who has followed hundreds of my friends, and gives kudos (probably by autobot) and comments to everyone.  I have another friend who was sexually assaulted by someone on Strava.  WHY CAN'T WE BLOCK THEIR NAME FROM APPEARING ANYWHERE ON STRAVA TO AT LEAST JUST US?  The constant reminders make us want to get off this platform.

I would like that too. I think the comments are gone now from a blocked user, but I can still see if they have given Kudos. I don't want to see that either. Blocked persons should be completely deleted from your account. Could Strava please do that? And what about my comments? If I was the one to block, they can't block me. Can they see my comments????

If I block someone, I don't want to see if they have given Kudos to a mutual friend. And I don't want the blocked person see if I have given Kudos. That is how it works on fb too. Could you please make Strava work this way too? I don't want to see a blocked persons name anywhere and I don't want them to see mine either, even if they can't block me back (because that is not possible, when I block first). I hope to hear from you.

Agree! It’s nuts that the engineers wouldn’t just obfuscate the visibility of an athlete you choose to block. I sick of being trolled by this nutcase that insists of stalking me and my friends.

Hello,
2023 and nothing is moving about this really... We don't want to see or be seen blocked user's kudo/comments. Not hard to implement. Thanks for your understanding. Please

Let's all vote with our $.  Do not become a paying member unless this is implemented.  There is absolutely no harm in doing so, but Strava will lose my $ if they do not.

This update needs to be implemented now, similar to Facebook, when someone is blocked, their activity (giving kudos or comments to friends) should be completely removed from view.

Please make it so that when you block some one on Strava, you don't have to see their kudos on common frieds' activities or anywhere else for that matter. This already happens in other networks and it would improve the user's experience on Strava. Thank you!

Adding my vote for this feature to be implemented as well!

When is Strava going to decide what to do with these comments? Can you please give an update?

I would like to up this thread and ask for this feature development. After I blocked someone why am I still seeing their name on comments/kudos section on any activities? On Instagram for instance, you don't encounter their name anywhere. This is really annoying.

I really don’t want to see Kudos by blocked people!!! They have to disappear everywhere.

I blocked them because they are triggering me. It’s a reason why I don’t use Strava so often anymore. I’m afraid to be triggered.

It’s actually worse. FB and IG do not allow registered **bleep** offenders to use their platform. Strava has NO policy regarding this.

In our area, there is a level 3 (for life, 3 strikes) registered **bleep** offender who is very active on Strava, doing what others have described: constant kudos of everyone and comments and even Posts about how wonderful he is. It’s appalling.

Law enforcement for the most part block him but the ongoing grooming is disgusting.

I don’t want to see any of it. An app that allows easy tracking and stalking should do better.
