Hide “Stop” button on Record screen on the Mobile App

When riding with my iPhone mounted on my stem with the screen on so I can see my progress during a segment/whole lap (love chasing the green/red), it would be ideal to hide the STOP button on the screen so my sweat or even an errant swipe doesn’t accidentally pause or legit STOP you ride. 
As you can guess it’s happened plenty enough to warrant an idea to literally hide the button and have it only appear if you tap or “hide” the race screen.

The position of these buttons is also very unfortunate as it can be quite tricky to swipe up from the bottom of the screen to close the app and go to another one WITHOUT accidentally pressing one.

It's very easy to accidentally hit STOP or FINISH when swiping up from the screen bottom to close/switch apps. I've had several recordings messed up by this, despite being careful. Please move the buttons away from the very bottom. Also, if the app receives the Suspend event within a one or two tenths of a second after a button press is registered, disregard the button press as it can't possibly be intentional.

Looking forward to this one getting traction. It’s literally the only reason why I use my Garmin Edge 830, because I can lick that screen and ensure a full ride captured. But on long rides I miss my iPhone large screen and easy to read Strava data. Just hate the placement and ability to errant stop the ride. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Just to note, the above two comments are from a moderator merging my different idea "IOS mobile app record mode: move buttons off bottom" into this one. My idea was to reposition any and all buttons, not just STOP and not by "hiding". Transferring the button to another screen or requiring you to tap first would NOT solve the problem I described, because once you've tapped or moved to that other screen you're still in the same boat! You will again need to be very careful exiting or changing apps to avoid accidentally triggering an unwanted action and not knowing about it.

Please swap these two buttons: "save" and "discard activity" (mobile app). When completing activities manually, it is natural to complete all information from top to bottom to finally confirm your activity. A natural movement of your finger, before reading the information on the button, is to click the button below the text to confirm. The delete button should be in the upper right corner so that you don't click it by accident. I can't count how many times I have deleted my activity by accident, just because the button is unintuitive. Please do UX research and change it.
