Mobile app: Show maps with option to hide / turn off Suggested Routes

I would like to draw my own route independent of any potentially found routes around me. The button is currently not shown until the routes around me load, which in most cases is a waste of time and resources, and in cases of failure means no button at all. (Several failures in a row prompted me to write this suggestion.)

Hello, I would like to suggest adding the ability to turn on/off the suggested maps/segments in the new map view on iOS. While they can be helpful, sometimes I want to simply look around the map without suggestions. The suggestions really clutter the interface (Google Maps does something similar, and it drives me crazy). Simpler is better, and then allow users to turn on suggestions as they need. Thanks for your work on the app!

UI Improvement: Maps Tab on mobile

I love exploring my neighbourhood and painting the city orange, so having access to the global and personal heatmaps and suggested routes on my phone is awesome to see where I've been and go/plan where I haven't! 

However, I wish to have the ability to view the map and heatmap without having to view a suggested route and associated info panel. This could perhaps be an option on the "Map Features" drop down where you can choose between "Routes", "Segments", and preferably by default, "Blank".

Alternatively, it would be helpful to simply be able to hide or slide down the info panel of the currently suggested route.

The recent update changing the heatmap view to always show suggested routes without option to remove them is a net negative. It’s really nice to be able to quickly view the heatmap to see what streets/routes are highly used and having the orange route cover the heatmap color graficar
