I am suscribed to Strava premium and I have some issues that I can’t find answers to.

I am missing some features:
1) Strava doesnt feature the map/route of what i read

  1. my best efforts are not updated at all

I have no idea where. Anyone have any suggestions? I cant find anything in a FAQ and cant find a strava live support

Hmm that's interesting… I’ve checked my own settings & permissions (I’m using AW too) but there seems to be no specific settings for gps/elevation only.

You’re recording with the Apple Workout app and then sync from Health to Strava, right?

If it's just this one activity which lacks the map, you can try deleting it from Strava and re-sync from Health. If the activity data got corrupt during the import , this should help. You’ll lose all kudos and comments though.

If all recent activities are impacted, you might try to disconnect your Strava from Health and then set up the connection from scratch, making sure that you allow all access that the app asks for.

Hi @Terence Lee,

  1. “Strava doesn't feature the map/route” - can you please explain what you mean? You can include screenshots too.
  1. best efforts - please try refreshing them as described here: https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/articles/216917127

Hi,

What activities are you doing?   Best Efforts are only for Runs and Rides so if you’re engaged in something different you may not see those.

I’m not sure I understand your map issue, can you please give some more details and perhaps a screenshot.

Thanks.     Bryan

Hi there, reference the maps to these (what I get vs my friend kevin’s)

I mainly run, if you refer to this two photos. I ran a half marathon but under my best efforts it states that I didnt do anything of that range.

In terms of maps, refer to what my friend kevin would have on his account versus mine. I checked through all settings and we have the same settings.

The screenshot shows an activity of 20.55 km, a half marathon is 21.1 - so the run isn't recognised as a HM by Strava.

You can try and use the Correct Distance feature on the Strava website (it's not in the mobile app), it might get you over the 21.1 milestone:

@Terence Lee oh - just looking at the activity itself - there's a zero elevation gain, have you done your run on a treadmill or without gps? Strava won't count treadmill runs for Best Efforts, only outdoor runs… also, if it was outside but without gps, that would explain why there's no map...

@Jana_S Good spot.  I’m not a runner so would not have spotted the distance issue. 👍

@BryanC even runners sometimes learn the hard way 🙈 but once it happens to you, you'll remember the correct distance forever 😃

Hey,

It was meant to be a HM but the organiser kinda effed up so the distance was shorter than promised….

But at the same time even my 5k and 10k efforts are not updated. My 5k best effort was from before I even suscribed to strava premium.

This page looks different for me.

Also, I currently only run outdoors so it’s kind of weird

Have you surely started “outdoor run” on your watch? Make 100% sure that it wasn't an “indoor run” accidentally. As I said, there's 0 elevation gain on the whole run, which would exactly happen if the run is recorded as indoors (even if you're physically outside).

@Terence Lee  sorry the post with the new screenshot only showed up later. Anyway, it seems to confirm that the activity is without GPS - the “correct distance” feature is not available on those.

To double check, have a look at the same activity in the Fitness app on your iPhone. Does it say Outdoor Run, and does it have a map & elevation information?

Yes. On fitness everything works. It reflects the photo of maps, elevation etc. It literally just does not pop over to the strava app.

It must be Apple. I swapped to Coros just 5 days ago and suddenly all the features work.
