The Gear>Component section is a great way to track component wear on bikes.  Many of the often used components are available in a drop down and it would be great for the user to specify, or additionally list, alternate units of measure besides miles.  For example, I track brake pad wear in feet of elevation (I don’t shuttle) and suspension service in hours.  These would be more helpful than miles for certain components the user can select.  

For maintenance activities such as chain waxing, it would be helpful to have a drop down for this but might be even more helpful to list on the activities page the cumulative miles for the gear, that way a user could search for maintenance performed (for example denoting these with # in the description field) and subtract the miles/feet/hours between events.  Without this, users use third party data platforms to find the dates of service, get the year to date mileage between events, and calculate the difference, which is cumbersome and not helpful.  

It would be great to set alarms for mileage/feet/hours on components and get notified when 90% of the way there to plan for component replacements.
