Hi folks,

I just finished a ride and got 2 KOMs, but upon checking on Strava it looks like they are not counting toward the segment leaderboards. I checked privacy settings, it’s not flagged, nor is the map hidden. Does anyone know why this happened and how to remedy?

Thanks!

It seems it just takes a bit of time - I looked at both of those segments. Moments ago, you weren't on the leaderboard; after looking again, you've appeared on the NachmanTriangle segment; so the other one might yet wait for some data to be crunched on the backend..?

Oh interesting!! I've never see it take so long to update. I'll wait to see if the other one takes as well. Thanks!

it looks like both segments are updated now… looks like Strava servers could use some speed training 😂

Ha! Yes indeed. Thanks for taking a look at my question.

Having a similar issue.
Wife got QOM and I should be tied for 2nd, but neither is showing on the leaderboard. It’s showing on my activity profile as a PR, and a previous effort is on the leaderboard, but not the one from today.

Interesting. Maybe Strava had a hiccup in their data processing today. Hopefully it works out for your wife!

It’s still very slow. For my last ride the daily, weekly and monthly leaderboard are up to date but the yearly and overall leaderboard show the old time 90 minutes after uploading the ride. The status.strava.com is useless as usual as it claims everything is operational.

I think something is going on with segments. I’m guessing someone decided to do a cleanup, and (given the massive hype bubble) they’re trying use AI to do it. 🙄😠

My most ridden segment was deleted earlier this month (probably because it was short). Two other segments I created were mysteriously changed to “Private” some time in the past few days. These are only the changes I’m aware of, there are probably more.

@support , any comment on these segment changes?

Thanks Jan, I (obviously) missed that. I have thoughts, but probably not worthy to share. 😂
