hey ​@pgower, what app version do you have? I've just checked in my iPhone (v. 393.0.0, build 46211 - beta), the manual activity button is still in the top left corner - so I’m wondering whether what you described is just some glitch...

Yes I have the same problem. App version 389.0.2. The plus button in the top-left corner disappeared this morning, replaced by the profile button, and I can no longer add a manual activity. 

I have version 389.0.2 and it is the latest available for me

I think that posts with screenshots have to be approved by moderators so it will probably appear only later…

Anyway, the beta I’m using has the buttons in the top left corner as follows -

• on the Home tab, a “plus” button (manual activity) and “magnifying glass” (search)
• on the You tab, there’s the profile button you're mentioning 

So I guess you're seeing the profile button also on the Home tab, right? mEdit: ok the screenshot has now appeared, I see what you mean now...]

I *think* that it might be a glitch/bug in the 389.0.2, since the newer version (though just a beta) has the usual buttons in place, so most probably the next release will fix this. But it's really just an assumption/guess. 

ok, I uploaded my activity via the desktop for now, good to know this will probably be resolved soonish. Thanks for your input Jana.S, I really appreciate it. 

Just noticed the same problem, but found it. Click the right button ‘you’ below on the main screen. The ‘plus’ button will appear above on the right.

As mentioned by other user, it’s now top right on the ‘you’ tab. Please put it back where it was (the logical place). 

I am having this issue too and NOT seeing it anywhere on the You tab. Very annoying. 

It wasn’t there at first for me either.  I completely closed my app, swiped it away, opened it again, and then it appeared. 

Closing the app and reopening it worked for me. Now I see the + next to the settings icon on the You tab.

Ha - so it appears that this is not depending on the app version after all! I tried what everyone else mentioned (force-closing the app) and voila, now the Profile icon is on the Home tab, and the icon is on the You tab in the right upper corner… so, I suspect it's some other kind of update magic. Anyway, please don't hate me, I must admit that I kinda like the Profile icon on the Home page, it was quite cumbersome having to go to the You tab (and if I remember correctly, the Profile icon *used to be* on the Home page till some time last year...)

Same - Manual Add disappeared from my iPhone App. I  was able to add an activity - closed the App, pressed on App (as if I was going to delete App, a pop up menu appeared which included “Add Manual Activity” at top of list of options. 

My wife had the same problem and I just couldn't figure it out after trying everything. I was going to delete and reload the app.

However. I have found the answer. This is for Apple iPhone. Press and hold the Strava app icon, and Add  manual activity is there in a drop down menu.
