Route planning very slow

HelloThere appear to have been some updates to the route planning function with this excellent app. However now it is becoming extremely slow, “updating route” is all I see now, and it is now no longer possible to see my the heatmap with all my activities displayed while route planning. The function is now barely usable it is so slow. Please is there anyway that the route planning can return to how it was a few months ago? I am using Chrome and I have tried the route planning on two separate computers. Best regards Howard

Hey Strava! If you're going restrict 3rd parties (using your API) from showing my data, then…..what is the point of having you around. Let me be very specific using an example. I pay a coach to assist me using Training Peaks. That coach is authorised to see my data and provide coaching. So not an unauthorised, but a consented sharing of my data.Let’s not kid each other… you get my data FOR FREE, so I can use you like a “Look at me” FOR FREE. As a training tool, it’s useless. You see yourself as the “leader of the peloton”, but you’ve become the over priced veteran that’s used to be a Grand Tour Winner.Let me be clear, when you’ve exhausted your usefulness or value, it is a good time for us to part ways. No more FREE DATA for the FREE usage of your platform.

Default gear issue

Was just looking back at some of my first activities recorded on Strava (rides) and noticed that the gear selected for the ride was my current default bike for "ride" sport types (Cervelo R5). The problem here is that the bike I have set as my default for rides was purchased several years after these first rides. For those initial rides, I'm guessing I didn't have any gear set, so I then looked at the rides I had logged just before my actual first ride with my current bike, and see that they too are marked as R5 rides, even though I know by that time I would have marked them as my old bike (Allez).When I recently set my default bike for rides (R5) did that action override what gear I selected (or didn't select) for those old rides, and artificially inflate the miles logged on my R5?

I noticed this in your latest announcement about updates to the TOS/privacy policy:Al features. Like so many of you, we’re excited about AI, and we’re identifying ways it can enhance your product experience. We explain how we use data in our AI features.(Sidenote: this is just terrible messaging, not everyone is “excited about AI,” and it’s basically a triggering word for a lot of people, who will write off your entire product because they have come to associate “AI” with “en**bleep**tification.”)The only explanation of using data in AI features I could find was in the privacy policy (identical language appears in Legal Bases):Provide AI Features. Uploaded Fit file not showing on Strava

Dear Strava Team,  I will like to bring one issue to your kind notice. Earlier when we used to upload a .fit file to Strava, that .fit file use to get process and an activity gets added in Strava platform. Issue with Paging Parameter in Club Activities Endpoint

I’m encountering an issue with the paging parameter at the endpoint for listing club activities.I am currently running a sports challenge that uses Strava clubs to track participants' activities. To limit the activities, I retrieve all activities using the after parameter. Today, I had more than 200 activities. When I requested the activities using the page parameter set to 2, I always received the same result. It doesn’t matter if I send page=2, page=3, or another value—I always get the same data. Feedback: recent update to heatmaps makes creating routes difficult

UPDATE FROM STRAVA: Thanks so much for writing in and providing this feedback. This is something that we are aware of and currently looking into. We're actively working on solving this gap in user experience and weighing this feedback into consideration as we work on an update. We appreciate your time and patience. a recent feature seems to have filtered heatmaps based on the sport type when routing. i suspect that this is broadly a great feature, but it has now made gravel routing very difficult because of the data sparsity (a large % of people don't select "gravel ride" on their activities, most rides aren't gravel anyways, etc.). plus there's so much overlap in gravel and road routes anyways, so aggregating that data makes sense imo. the road heatmaps work great here, but the only way to get them to show up is to change the sport type to road cycling, which affects the routing. I prefer to use "gravel ride" as the sport to get good autorouting ("prefer dirt" has its issues since it

For a route which starts and ends at the same location (loop), how to change the start point?

So my question is basically summarized in the title. I have a route which starts and ends at the same location (a loop). Now I want to modify the route to keep it the same loop, but to start and end it at a different location (without having to recreate the entire route from the new start point).

Manage athlete limits

Hello Strava community!I applied to the Developer Program with my app about more than a month ago. This is actually my second attempt; the first time, they asked me to provide more screenshots of my app. I applied to increase my user limit from 1, because right now no one can use my app except me. After submitting additional screenshots, I received this email in response:'We've received your submission to Strava's Developer Program. It's under review, and there's nothing else you need to do for now. Once your app has been approved, we'll contact you with more information.'Given that I've already gone through one round of feedback and I'm trying to make my app available to more users, how long should I expect to wait for a response regarding this second review?

Managing Groups - Field Website

If you are managing a Club there is a dedicated field for the website, but that does nothing! As we are a club that is also quite active outside of Strava, there should be the possibility to Link to that website. (You also remove all links posted in the text)If Strava wants to be a social hub, there needs to be a way to link to the outside, at least for a Club. This gets quite frustrating in addition to other changes that worsened the experience!

Add shoes/gear to the Quick Edit

The Quick Edit is a great feature that makes it easy to quickly edit a recent activity. But it would be even more useful if shoes/gear was part of it. Runners tend to use different shoes for different kind of runs. And tracking the shoe usage is already a great feature but it’s currently a bit annoying to have to do it in so many steps.

The weather data doesn't make any sense. This is frustrating. How can I solved it?

For example, in my training today, it says the temperature was 23ºC. This temperature doesn't make any sense! The information should be the average temperature during the activity, or the maximum and minimum. I ran with a final sensation of 29ºC, but Strava says it felt like 23ºC. How can I solved it?

Fetching Activities within Rate Limit

Hello!I'm writing an application that requires storing information about new activities in realtime as they come in from athletes. I have been successful in getting the creation of new activities sent to my server through the web hook. New Activities do not include any metadata about the new activity, so I have to follow up with additional calls to fetch the data.I've explored the following 2 approaches but both have their problems:Fetch By Activity Id: the most straight forward, I could hit `/activities/{{ id }}` for every activity that comes from the web hook. This would be the most expensive against my daily rate limit, though.Fetch By Activity Date Range: in order to avoid hitting rate limits, I could hit `/athlete/activities` and run against a date range to fetch multiple activities at once. This is great cause it allows me to "batch" requests, although the `event_time` that comes back from the web hook does not accurately reflect the activity event time (this is es

Ok, I understood that killing FatMap the best way to get money from subscribers.But why this great tool so bat implemented to strava? Did you see how it looks? Why all the hills pretended to be a peak? Do you really think that mountains should be so tall.  Can you please return the display of the mountains as it was done in FatMap?

Reset Elevation Data

There needs to be a method to reset all elevation data, updating a single ride in the app isn’t practical. I have years worth of incorrect elevation data due to a faulty GPS

Please have annual PRs or ability to clear all PRs

I have had Strava for many years and the 10 year ago me can’t compete with current me. Please add a feature to allow the clearing of all past personal PRs or perhaps add a new category with annual PR. Garmin has this feature ON THE FREE ACCOUNT so it would make sense that Strava could at least do this on the paid account.

Why am I getting push notifications for every friend activity as of this morning?

New this morning, I’ve been getting notifications for users who I do not have favorited. This is a really obnoxious use of notifications with no clear way to turn it off without turning off notifications for favorited users. This appeared to start this morning. Also, why was my last thread about this deleted?

Accepting activity does not work

This sunday I ran a 100K with my friend. He has a garmin and when he uploads his files he taggs me and I accept, then strava takes over and I also get the activity, however this activity can not be accepted for some reason. We tried declining and inviting again but it does not work also not on my mobile phone.

[KNOWN ISSUE] Activity Grouping sometimes doesn't work

Since a couple weeks/ months the feedback doesn't show I rode together with other strava users. I haven't changed any settings. It worked woth those users in the past. Any idea what I can do? Adding/ inviting to the ride doesn't be the answer. That will add up the km's to my totale which is not gooed. Thanks in avance. Regards, Rick
