I record an alpine skiing activity from the strava app on my iphone. I can see the map data on the screen before finishing the activity. As soon as a I finish and hit upload, the activity uploads with np map data available. As in the activity just says a distance elevation and time but there is no gps data. When I export the activity it is a .fit file that is too small to have the gps data (<1kb).
One of the times I had replied to a text message while the upload animation was playing. I think there is something about the upload being interrupted and deleting the data locally before it is uploaded. I never experienced this issue until this new update with animations on uploading. This has now happened on 3 separate occasions. Super frustrating because the gps data seems unrecoverable. I’ll also try uploading the activity as a ride instead and switching it later to see if this solves it.
