Want to show off your latest Strava activity on Instagram and let friends check it out themselves? Here’s a step-by-step guide to sharing your activity directly to your Instagram story—with a clickable link.🏃 Step-by-Step InstructionsStep 1: Start from the Strava AppOpen the Strava app.   Tap on the activity you want to share (run, ride, etc.). We’re renewing our commitment to keeping Segments clean by decluttering duplicate and unused Segments, adding verified Segments and introducing new rules on Segment leaderboards. With these changes, you can more easily find and compete in the places that your community is actually running, riding and moving. We know that the state of Segments is far from perfect - impossible efforts on leaderboards and duplicates (and duplicates of duplicates) of the same portion of road or trail make it hard to get the most out of Segments. Hi everyone! We recently launched an upgraded auto-flagging system designed to catch over a third more “impossible” segment times before they even show up on leaderboards (eg. The “run” that looks suspiciously like a bike ride or the “ride” that was clearly recorded from an e-bike or a car). We’ve also retroactively applied the new system to 34 million existing run and ride leaderboards, removing 6.5M impossible activities that didn’t belong in the top 10.Ensuring fairness and integrity on the leaderboards is a work in progress, and we’ll continue finding and cleaning up suspicious results from the past as our process improves. But these updates are a big step. They won’t just make leaderboards more accurate – they’ll make sure your own hard-earned efforts are properly recognized and ranked.

You can now add Custom Waypoints onto the routes you create on Web! Insert waypoints anywhere on your route to denote key points like aid stations, bathrooms, views or even when you're supposed to take your next gel. Try it out today under Explore > Create a Route. Place your waypoints on the route, then click the waypoint that you want to customize.  Bonus tip: If you have a compatible Garmin device, these waypoints will transfer onto your device when you sync your route. This means that you will be able to see how far away your nearest waypoint is while on the go— so you never have to wonder "how far until the next coffee shop/aid station/water stop" again.

You can now set default shoes and bikes for different foot and cycle activities!  For bikes this applies to: Ride, E-bike Ride, Virtual Ride, Handcycle, Velomobile Ride, MTB Ride, Gravel Ride and E-MTB Ride activities. Good news! We’re updating our algorithms to make leaderboards more credible, and taking steps to proactively prevent suspicious efforts from appearing on leaderboards – so you can trust that the results you see are accurate. We're withholding from leaderboards any activities that appear incorrectly labeled (e.g. a bike ride getting uploaded as a run) or have faulty GPS data.With these and other ongoing changes, we can better ensure your efforts will get the ranking they deserve and you can trust that the CR, KOM or QOM (plus all the other times on the leaderboard) are the real deal. These changes will be for all activities moving forward – we can’t yet capture past activities. And of course, you can still report an activity if you think there’s one the algorithm missed. Since launching video last summer, athletes like you have brought even more action to activities. Now, we're giving you a new way to upload your video content: on the web. Previously, videos could only be uploaded via the Strava app. Now, you can upload and view on the web as well. It's officially here: Recover Athletics, Strava's recovery and injury prevention app, has added cycling content to its library. This has been a huge ask from the community.Now after a ride, Strava subscribers can access an expanded library of routines created to target and strengthen the shoulders, neck and back.
