50km ride with only 11k logged I stopped to take a photo from the lock screen and I forgot that THIS always happens so I lost most of my 50km ride. I’m pissed because I really pushed on to try to test my form in the last 15km and they were just not recorded, I’ve lost LOADS of training rides like this. Can you not fix it? I’m a software developer. Do you need a little help?

I am trying to use the strava app on a pixel watch 2. But the screen goes off after a few seconds on the watch and I have to press the button to show the screen again. Its not really useable like that so is there any way to force the screen to stay on when using the watch app to record ? I already have Always On Display set to On

Hi, I'm getting a server error in many parts of the app for instance: when trying to upgrade to premium when trying to check the leaderboard when trying to select a route to follow and in many other parts I tried deleting app data and cache, logging out and restarting my phone. I even changed my Internet connection, nothing worked. I'm using a Galaxy S22 Ultra with One UI 6.1 and Android 14

why does this feature use standard maps? Usually it uses satellite maps. Is there a solution for this?

It seems like saving routes isn't working. The route is created but then does not appear in the route list

Bonjour, est il possible de savoir si la planification d'itinéraire de strava sera identique a celle de fatmap un jour??? depuis l'arret de fatmap, il est difficile de creer un parcours aussi bien avec strava!!!! Sur fatmap on pouvait tracer sur une carte ign, en n'etant pas obligé de suivre une route, ou chemin.....on pouvait tracer en hors piste ou sur un chemin qui n'existe pas sur les cartes.… est ce que ces fonctionnalités seront un jour sur Strava version mobile????

I submitted my request to download my data yesterday about 24 hours ago and I still have not received my link to download my data 😥Does anyone have any idea how long this takes?I think I did it about a year ago and it was within a few minutes. Thanks.

I’m trying to use strava audio queues from my apple watch SE but I only have pace and distance audio queues in the run options. I gave all permissions regarding heart rate. All my runs have heart rate charts and everything, its just not showing up as an option for audio cues. (Fitness and motion is on and all that). Is there a fix to this? I have a premium subscription as well.

First off, I am happy to see the big improvement in the automatic detection of impossible efforts across more activities. Specifically, I am seeing it a lot more for running where people who are posting activities with sub 4 min/mile paces are frequently being marked as having a problem. This is good and a great step forward from where things were. However, there is still an issue. These activities that have been marked as auto-detected are still being listed in the challenge leaderboards. The top 20 of the 5k running challenge for example is almost all activities that have been marked with “We detected an issue with this activity”. Some of them are a week old and still showing on the leaderboard. Why aren’t those activities removed from the leaderboard immediately when they are detected? If the person ends up clearing up the issue, then the activity can be re-indexed onto the leaderboard, but in the meantime, they should be removed as soon as the system sees there is an obvious problem.

I'm a premium strava user and recently I can see my activity map when I open that activity. I can see the map in my feed but when I open it, map is no available. Also, when I try to see any other user that that day did the same segment, for example, strava app closes and it backs to the feed! Any idea? Thanks

When you select a specific sport for your heatmap on the maps tab, that carries over to an activity of another sport despite what the label says. The map tab is acting as a master switch. I had my map set to walk activities only: Then opened an athlete's ride which still shows my walking activities while claiming ride: For comparison this is some of my ride heatmap in the area: If a user wants to change which activities' heats are displayed, they have to back all the way out to the main map to change it. It would be ideal if loading activities automatically selected the appropriate heatmap type and I assume this behavior is unintentional.

This has been a huge flaw for years. It’s the main thing that kept me from paying for premium, and the thing that’s going to make me cancel it one of these days. “Moving Time” 1) Is worthless because it’s hopelessly inaccurate. When I’m on a trail with big elevation gain it could be off over 50%, and 2) It’s irrelevant. If it took you an hour to do the route because you stopped to tie your shoes and send a text… it still took you an hour. In what world does it matter hour how much time you were actually running vs stopping? If someone wants to know that irrelevant metric, let them search for that. Not make the rest of us who live in the real world have ridiculous times posted that bear no relation to reality. There’s no way it could be that difficult to actually make the correct time the default to display.

Starting yesterday i cant post on anyclubs i made one post and it was the cleanest post ever and now i cant post and can only post activities. The reason why I said it was clean was because i looked it up and it couldve been flagged and thats why i cant post but i didnt post anything even remotely bad. I would like this fixed. Up until recently, when I shared a run, the image with stats would retain its aspect ratio. This seems to be no longer the case (in the last week). For example, here is my latest run, ready to share; However, when I post or even save the image, it is cropped to the portrait aspect ratio. This has only happened recently, as I have been sharing in the same way every time. Can anyone shed any light on this?

I'm trying to view Flybys for today's (and prior) run(s). I'm not seeing anything load (see image below) and I'm seeing a unicode type character referenced in the orange section where I assume the route name would be. I do have Flybys privacy set to allow Everyone to view as well, in case that information is helpful. Thank you!!

Since several days, the sharing function is not working properly. The app modify the size and ratio of the original pictures, uploaded, when sharing pictures. All the pictures are sharing in a portrait format even if the original format is landscape or square. As I’ve paid a subscription for that app, i’m not satisfied because i can’t share to my friends and my family all my activities with distance and speed on the picture with the good format ? Is there a way to modify the format of the mixité shared or when are going to fix the issue ?

To the good folks at Strava,Please allow the user to share the aspect ratio in which they want to export their image with the run statistics.Previously, it was 4x5, and it worked. The reason it worked is that in this aspect ratio, you could see the strava logo, the image in focus and the stats at the bottom of the image, in one glance. It came together pretty well. Very shareable. Strava logos everywhere. Run stats right where you want them. Boom. But now, with the new aspect ratio, this does not work as well as you may have thought. I’ll lay it out. Scenario 1:I share a picture i took to my Instagram story with my run stats. Now, who ever came with the aspect ratio idea thought that the image would take the whole screen and it would look good. But the stats are now in areas of the screen which are occupied by the app specific action buttons! My run stats are hidden and so is your strava logo. They did not consider this, and no one in the chain of authority, while reviewing this, thought that hey, probably not the best idea.Now, i have to place an elongated picture in my story with 16-24 px padding on all sides. The image is story shaped but not story friendly. If share a 16:9 image on my story, and it doesn’t take the whole screen space, it just looks awful. Scenario 2:I want to export the last 10 run images and post it on my instagram feed. Now, I export them in 16:9 because I have no option. If i put these in my post, the strava logo gets cropped if i anchor my image at the bottom so my stats are visible. The side effect (automatic marketing) of a great feature is now lost to you. And for me, the user, i have to share a photo that is cropped in an ungodly manner. BOOOOO! I like to run and capture scenic photos every once in a while. The stats + strava overlay looks pretty good on them. In 4X5. Please. For the love of running, runners and people who are enthusiastic about sharing pictures from their runs with stats and with a great shot they stopped to take on the way, either revert your change, OR ALLOW THE USER to select the export aspect ratio. I’m out.

When you play videos that are uploaded to Strava (on your own profile or watching others) the last few seconds of the video get cut off. This usually only happens the first time you play it, and when you try to watch it again, you can see the final seconds of the video. I have only tested this on an iPhone.

When I use Flyby, I only see one or two other riders, even though I’ve selected many more. Moving the timeline forward or backward doesn’t help either. This happens both on my home computer (Mac + Safari) and at work (PC + Chrome). Everything was working fine until Friday evening.

HELP! I changed some setting(s) in Strava, and now instead of my actual Distance and Pace showing, I see 0.00 and 0S/mi. I use the Strava app on my iWatch and my iPhone. When I start Strava on my watch to record my run, it stays at all zeros for average pace and miles during the run and when I finish. It appears that these are being recorded, simply not displaying on my iWatch, iPhone app, or Strava's website. I've attached screenshots showing what I am seeing on my dashboard now and earlier before I changed the settings (security? privacy?). I'd like to see my pace and distance while I am running, as well as on my dashboard after my run. I compared my settings with my wife's settings on all of our devices and they all seem to match, and her dashboard displays correctly with what we both prefer to see shown. What I see now after a run with 0 miles and 0s/mi pace: I see Time, Elevation Gain, and Max Elevation now, not Distance, Pace, and Time: The week of Sept 18-24 shows what I want to revert back to: This is what I'd like to revert back to showing Distance, Pace, and Time displayed (and recorded?) Any ideas what setting(s) I need to change on my iWatch, iPhone, and/or online on the Strava site?

Hi! I have been uploading my rowing to Strava (Android) for a while now, and recently I noticed that when using the ‘Quick Edit’ feature to rename/make changes to these activities, the pace units for the activity - “/500m” for rowing - is changed to be “/km”. However, this is unhelpful as rowing consistently uses the “/500m” to measure splits. This issue isn’t present when using the standard Edit Activity button. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to see if this issue is consistent across other devices/Strava versions, and I don’t know if it has existed since the introduction of the Quick Edit feature or not. Dear Team of Strava, first of all many thanks for your free service, for which I am totally satisfied. I subscribed the free trial version, but after checked how it works, frankly I am thinking to remain a free service user. Below I wanted summarize the points for which I am taking this decision, if they can be usefull for you. Main one: I was totally convinced that I could navigate with indications during my MTB route and was surprised once understood that any kind of alert was not in place on Strava. I am not talking about a exact route voice indicator, but at least a “bip” when you skip your turning point would be important. When I run an round trip on the same route, the return track line is hide by the blue color of the outward one. Would important that the predominant color remains always the orange one. The screen turns off automatically. So I have to touch it to see the route. I suggest to include this function on Strava without modyfing the cellular settings. (If I miss it, forget it). The compass function is not easy to manage. When I start the navigation, I think would be pretty normal to be in compass mode (see the route front of you, toward the upper part of the screen), but the compass function dissappear without any reason so I have to touch the bottom right dot when I am in movement to come back to comapss mode. Five and last, not related to subscription features, concernes the adding of an alert when we put the trip on pause and forget to restart the trip… would be possible? Anyway, thanks for reading me! I made 3 "indoor rides" today with a couple of pauses using the STOP button on my Garmin Edge 530. It was saved after the third ride. The result in Garmin vs. Strava is: Obviously, in Strava the elapsed time is used in avg. speed calculation. This is a horrible bug. E.g. if concentrating exactly on avg. speed during an indoor cycling, the record is totally useless. Why the elapsed time is used in calculation instead of the moving time? It makes no sense.

Hi everyone, It has been almost one month since my safety contact reported not receiving beacons for my activities. My watch is Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Pro. Raised a ticket Request #3198908 but issue still remains up to today. I have removed the safety contact & re-added, as well as adding my own number & re-enabling beacon. Got a couple of beacons sent at first but stopped again. Up to this very moment no beacons sent/received for the last week despite of being active, even a couple of hours ago! Are you also having issues with beacons not being sent? I will appreciate any help, thanks!
