"CO2 saved" on non commute downloaded maps

Why now do I see “CO2 saved” on the downloaded map when its not a commute but just a ride? I could give a toss on any ride how much CO2 I save or create. How do I get rid of this on the saved maps?

Missing Power Curve Stats/Charts

I am a Strava subscriber. My connected followers have their power curve and power charts displayed in their Strava app. Also displays under results. I am not able to see this under my profile, only estimated power zones (which has always been there).Is the additional power curve graph and new power results a new feature? How do I enable? I have my bike weight and body weight configured - still nothing.

No activities in club

Hey friends! I own a club/group on Strava to keep track of my athletes runs, but recently the button to look at the activities of the group is gone and was replaced with “event insights”. I haven’t changed any settings for anything to be different and would just like some help so I can see the activities in my group again please.

Omitted sport in the Challenge's

I ride walk and play tennis all of which I am able to record on my strava. Why then is Tennis not listed in any of the challenges as an included sport?

[Known Issue] map screen white out when zooming out.

UPDATE from the Strava team:We can confirm the team is working on fixing the issue. We are expecting the fix to go out soon - once the fix is out, we’ll be sure to update this thread and let you know!  Hello all, I'm having an issue when trying to zoom out on a map screen where it starts to zoom out to see anything an area but then the whole screen goes white like a cloud cover & i can't see anything. This does it on my own maps aswell as friends maps. Strava has been updated to the latest version & is running on an android s24 .

Feedback on New Activity Recording Screen

Receive the option to use a new screen / interface to record an activity this morning. Wanted to share some early feedback. (iPhone app user, UK based.)Positives:Great to see the time & distance on the map screen. No more switching between screens to know how far I’ve travelled while following a route. This is a huge improvement and outweighs all the other items below. Thank you! Good to have an easily visible option to add a route at the start of my ride.Negatives:Strange to see ~20% of the bottom of the screen permanently occupied with a huge Pause button and a Send Beacon Text option. I don’t want to pause while I’m moving. In fact, I definitely don’t want to accidentally pause while I’m trying to use a map feature on the move. Is there any way to make the Pause option only appear when I’m standing still? Or at least make it smaller? Send Beacon Text is a great option but I don’t need to see it permanently. If I choose not to send one, I’d like to be able to clear it from the sc

Deleting Uploaded Pics?

Try as I might I can’t seem to suss out the path I have to follow that’d bring me to a ‘delete these pics’ button. Seems like it should be in Profile, but for the life of me I’m just not there yet.I managed earlier in the week to stumble onto it, as much for adding an avatar image as to show some scenes from activities I’ve engaged in. Now it’s time to clear out some space, but I can’t find my way back to where that can be accomplished.Any/all appropriate suggestions welcome, thanks!

My bike for past rides has been changed by Strava

Some of my rides for 2023 (starting in July) have been marked as ridden with a bike I didn't acquire until Christmas 2023 !Bike 'Vitus' shows about 1200 km for that year, and a total of 6,013 km for all time. The bike is an e-bike so I can also read the mileage from its computer : 4838 km.These rides in 2023 were allocated to my other bikes bikes  'Scotty' and ‘Galaxy’ at the time.I know that I can go back and edit these rides (there are 25 of them) but I’m wondering what is the point of registering a ride against a bike if it’s nott going to be stored correctly in the database.

Anomalies with auto-exclusion of Efforts ?

I’m quite an experienced Strava user having done about 1200 bike rides over the last 7 years.  I’m aware of the feature that auto-excludes Efforts that are considered infeasible, however, up to now I have not knowingly been affected by it.  I just noticed that in an Activity in April 2024 the first 4 Segments in a ride had been auto-excluded.  I looked at an analysis of the data and it did indeed show an infeasible speed over a short section - from 14 mph to 42 mph and back to 14 mph in about 4 seconds.  This occurred between about 0.08 and 0.13 miles into the Activity (close to home !).  The first 2 Segments included this range and so were reasonably excluded.  However the 3rd Segment started at about 0.26 miles and the 4th Segment to be excluded didn’t start until about 0.57 miles, well beyond the very short GPS anomaly.  Hence I’m wondering why the auto-exclude algorithm would exclude all 4 of these Segments ?  Does it need some tuning to minimise unnecessary auto-flagging of “good”

Auto pause for kayaking

It appears that there’s been a recent change which applies auto-pause to kayaking, but I suspect it uses cycling parameters, which are not appropriate for kayaks (which move more slowly than bikes). I record my kayaking outings on my iPhone. In my most recent kayak outings, Strava auto-pauses almost immediately and then never unpauses. I’ve used Strava for years and this never happened until now.My settings: I have auto pause enabled for cycling, but turned off for running. There doesn’t seem to be a way to control auto-pause for other sports.

Please add a SORT OPTION for My Strava Segments

Please provide a SORT OPTION for My Strava Segments. Having over 500 segments managing them is a nightmare, especially when Garmin limits the number to 100 (Garmin says it is Strava that is the problem here). Rather than indulging in AI gimmickry (that mainly describes the obvious and is therefore of little use), please sort out the (easy) basics first..

Feedback On: Club "Event Insights" Feature - Problems and solutions

I’m a club admin and I was excited when I saw this feature pop up on my phone - Score!  This will be useful!  And then I was disappointed.  The feature says “Get a snapshot of who attended, and use that info to grow your Club.”, but this is very misleading.  Here’s why:It uses as +/- 15 minute window from the event start time to find riders who joined.  That’s a HUGE mistake.  We often have 40+ people show up for rides and always allow 5-minutes grace period before starting, THEN we gather everyone together to provide ride information, THEN we organize into pace groups, etc.  Sometimes we manage this within 15-minutes of the official ride start time (really gathering time).  Sometimes we don’t.  The time window needs to be longer.  Alternatively, you need to let club administrators set the time window.  Or you need us to have a separate publicly listed start time (i.e., what is shown on the event RSVP) and an anticipated start time (e.g., 10 minutes later) that Club Admins can set behi

Filer out bad data

 I don't understand why Strava continues to have points where it gets bad GPS data and suddenly jumps your location by a mile and then back to the correct position.   If I'm walking clearly this isn't possible. It seems it should be pretty easy to programmatically detect these outliers and remove them.

Leaderboards - automatic re-categorisation of performances to 'E-bike'

I am an athlete who has always used leaderboards as a motivational tool.As I get older, I have focused more on the age-related boards. Having crossed the age boundary into 55+, all the hills that I target are heavily populated by mis-categorised ebike rides. I appreciate that the AI tool is looking for obvious cheats/mistakes, perhaps a KOM in a car.For the E-bike problem I see, I suspect it is largely about more casual riders and ignorance of the rules. I see consistent patterns in the data: Low athlete activity levels, recorded on a phone, no HR/power data, cups on hills (but no other segments) slow times on all key metrics 5k, 10k, etc. My suggestion is that you set a performance threshold and automatically recategorise all rides that meet it. For example, given the E-bike issue (in Europe maybe not the US) is largely around hills, it would be simple to set a transparent rule that if you acheive, say, a VAM of over 1,000 on a segement and you don't meet certain criteria, t

how to change back to email/password login from the One Time Login code

I somehow clicked okay to move to use of a one-time password to log in, but it is less convenient and requires more steps.   how do I switch back?  There is no longer an option to change password in settings, only change email -- and I want to keep the same email.Thanks

Live Segments not useful in mixed terrain. Am I using the wrong feature?

Hi everyone,I'm trying to improve my times on nearby segments using Strava Live Segments, but I’m struggling to get any real value from it in my region.This might be fine in flat areas or velodromes, but as most of the people, I ride in a 3D world. In my area, it’s impossible to go anywhere without climbing or descending: 150 meters of elevation gain and loss every 10 kilometers is just a normal ride. But the real issue isn't the hills themselves. Live Segments could still be useful on a long, steady climb or descent. The problem is the alternation between flat, climbing, and descending sections, which makes pacing truly important, and the feature almost useless.What I really want is to pace myself realistically against my own past efforts. I don’t care how others perform on the segment; I just want a real, effort-based comparison with my own ride history. I understand that Strava might not be able to show other’s pacing or strategy data due to intellectual property rights or privacy c

gps map data drifting

Map data is not showing properly. Even I have trouble shooted with so many ways still won’t works out.on the direct route if some cuts are coming, there is small drift in the corner of the road.In other tracking app’s it is working fine. Attached screen shot with so many drifts in the straight route

new maps Personal colors are illegible

I heavily use the Personal heat maps feature, specifically the Red and Blue colors because they were the most legible. However, after the recent Maps update, these colors have changed and now I find it much harder to see. Now it'sore like the other colors, which have always been hard to see.

Plan Your Weekend Ride feature

I’ve started seeing the ‘Plan your weekend ride’ carousel at the top of my feed. Does anyone know how to switch this off? It’s showing me rides that are miles away from my location.

[Resolved] Flyover Playback - low frame rate/choppy

The Flyover thing is kinda nice, but as I play through  an activity the frame rate progressively degrades on my iPhone 15. On longer rides, it can drop as low as 1 frame per second. January 16th: UPDATE FROM STRAVAHello and thank you to everyone who posted here.We are aware of this issue and are currently investigating.
