How long does it take Strava Support to reply?

Hello, I have been waiting for over a month for the support team to respond to my query (about restoring some data). How long does it usually take? Is there anything I can do to speed up the process?Thanks!

Archiving of previous rides

Is it possible to somehow archive or retire previous rides from my stats? I did quite a bit of local riding on a road bike a number of years ago, and am now doing some of the same routes and segments on a hybrid bike at a more leisurely pace. Needless to say a lot of my PRs are from years ago. Can I somehow hide those without deleting all the rides?It is mainly to stop the PRs on my Hammerhead Karoo being now meaningless ones from years ago, that I am never going to catch!

Turning off the new pop-up prompts to edit title / share activity?

Hi, the latest updates of the iOS app have some added automation which seems to try to be helpful, but, please, how can I disable that? 😬First - making a screenshot of activity details triggers a sharing screen (where you can save an image of the map or the activity photo with stats). I understand it might make sense in some use cases, but if I'm taking a screenshot of the splits, elevation graph or pretty much anything in the activity details, I really do not want the sharing screen to pop up and hide the details that I want to capture. Second - once opening a newly imported activity, a "quick edit" dialogue pops up immediately prompting to rename the activity etc. But it's too simplified and doesn't include all the options (such as: shoes), so I always just close it and open the actual Edit mode. The "quick edit" is just a distracting and frustrating step. If anything needs to be automated this way, then perhaps why not opening the newly imported activity in the Edit mod

Strava should enable gift subscriptions again

https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001685450-Gifting-a-Subscription states:"For the time being, we have removed the option to gift a subscription to an athlete. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience."This seems to be a really bad idea. I was just looking up how to give a gift subscription. If it isn't possible, I'll be spending my Christmas gift money elsewhere.Strava should consider enabling gift subscriptions again and stop throwing income away.

Faulty activity upload?

I ran a marathon on Sunday and cant seemto upload it at all. I submitted a ticket and no one has looked at it request : 3104588 The import button spins for a long while before it turns to a check mark but the activity never processes. I even left it overnight

Routes no longer follow roads on iOS

It seems that a recent iOS update has broken the way routes are shown on iOS. Here’s an example route:https://www.strava.com/routes/3289692473352562718 In the web route editor, the route displays like I would expect it to. On iOS, however, the same portion looks like this:  It seems like the iOS route viewer is only showing a fraction of the vertices required to actually draw the route so that it follows roads. It makes following along the route much harder, and I’ve taken the wrong turn more than once because of this.Is anyone else seeing this, and any ideas on how to fix it?

I noticed this in your latest announcement about updates to the TOS/privacy policy:Al features. Like so many of you, we’re excited about AI, and we’re identifying ways it can enhance your product experience. We explain how we use data in our AI features.(Sidenote: this is just terrible messaging, not everyone is “excited about AI,” and it’s basically a triggering word for a lot of people, who will write off your entire product because they have come to associate “AI” with “en**bleep**tification.”)The only explanation of using data in AI features I could find was in the privacy policy (identical language appears in Legal Bases):Provide AI Features. (RESOLVED) Can't Opt Out of Personal Information Sharing with Third Parties

Had to accept new privacy policy when opening the app and then when I went into settings to opt out of sharing my personal info with third parties (because it shares it by default), I was unable to opt out. If I turn it on to opt out, it immediately goes back off when i come back into this setting and says network error. I am currently not seeing a way to stop sharing my info with third parties on the web for my account so it appears there is no real way to opt out of sharing my personal info with third parties.

Red-ish line that shows path

I have this memory that in previous versions of Strava if you followed a route the track of the route was given by a red or orange line. When I walk in the outback, I often put the trip into Strava as a route, so I have a backup in case I am unsure where to go. I have the version for Android, and this line doesnt appear anywhere and I dont see any settings where I can turn this on. Is the line still a thing?

Generative AI should suggest ways to improve

The new generative AI summaries tell me what I did when Strava already does a good job summarizing my efforts. That’s not helpful and uses a lot of compute power for little benefit. How about - if you’re going to jump on that bandwagon - use it to give suggestions how to improve using the current ride and past efforts? Are we balancing heart rate or power zones enough? Should we do more or less intense workouts the following day? Maybe we could put in some details about our goals to help generate recommendations. More like a generative AI coach than some sports announcer giving me the play by play of a game I’m already watching.

Mileage missing from half marathon

On 15th September I run a half marathon and got a massive PB. It only recorded as 13.06 however was issued the half marathon badge. I ran with a fellow club member and his recorded correctly. I have tried the correct distance feature however it doesn't work. Can the 0.5 be added so that the half records as PB in best efforts.I have tried to contact previously but no one seems to get back.Would really appreciate help

Delete all activities upload before a certain date

Hello, recently I've started using a Garmin forerunners for my running activities. Since I was using a smartwatch with poor GPS all activities in Strava regarding this old smartwatch should not be considered valid. I would like to delete all activities regarding this old smartwatch:- either deleting all activities before a certain date- or deleting all activities coming from zepp app sync

What happened to saved routes on Android?

The new route planning functionality on Android is nice and all, but now I can't seem to find any of my saved routes, including new routes I created using the new interface. Did this relocate in the app, did it go away altogether, or is it user error on my part?

[KNOWN ISSUE] App will only show me about twenty of my saved routes.

Hi. My name is Dodd. I’m new to the forum but have been using Strava for about six years. I’ve got a bug on my app that will let me view only about 15 or 20 of my most recently saved routes. I can see that the other routes are there and the app will let me scroll to them for a second but then kicks me back to the latest 15 or so. I’ve contacted support but they were not able to help and closed my ticket. Has anyone else experienced this?  Thanks.  ps  I can see them all on my laptop, not on app, iPhone.

(RESOLVED) Segment creation not working / Not Saving Created Segments

Strava says "Segment creation in this area is disabled because it has been identified as private property, having restricted activity access, and/or other reasons" Support site says it's a known issue and they're working through it, is anyone else having this issue? Hopefully it'll be fixed soon!

My Routes Update, Sept 2024

I noticed some changes to My Routes.  1) The biggest problem i have with the route planner is when switching from shortest distance to most popular.  Please allow that switch to take effect from the current waypoint to the next (like you do for manual mode) OR from the point you selected that option going forward, as opposed to applying that method of routing to the ENTIRE route.  I spent an hour crafting a route and couldn't get it through an alley (it did a 2-mile circuitous loop to the next way point), when i switched to shortest distance it REROUTED MY ENTIRE ROUTE.  Ouch.  2) Please allow us to delete waypoints from the list on the left again!!  Bring that back!3) It is a small issue but kinda frustrating: we used to be able to grab a part of the route between two waypoints and drag it through a particular place. But now the planner cannot process that action, and the route gets discombobulated and jumbles the route (hence the reason we need

Request for better communication re: community safety/hidden link issue

Hi all,I've noticed a lot of comments lately about missing or hidden links while using Strava. After checking here, I saw Community Manager Marya's post explaining that the links are being filtered to maintain community safety. (https://communityhub.strava.com/t5/strava-features-chat/upholding-platform-safety/td-p/45352)On behalf of many in the community, I want to say thank you for addressing this, but I also encourage you to share this information (there is a safety issue, & we are working on a fix) within the app itself. There is a ton of confusion about this.The Community Hub, while passionate, represents only an incredibly small group of power users. Most people simply think something is broken on your app. A little transparency would go a long way, and I’m sure you’ll receive plenty of support as you work on a solution.Thanks!good luck 🙂

Reporting too many entries

I like to create segments for my runs, so I made a few on a trail near a local lake. Now, the interesting part, is that so many of the best runs obviously are skiing acitivites, given that the pace is sub-2min/km here and there (typicall steep downhill), in the middle of winter with snow and ice everywhere, and pacing in general makes much more sense to skiing runs (like, way more variation than you'd typically have during a run). So, I reported as many as I could of them, to clean up the rankings, but now it won't let me report more.I guess I will eventually be allowed to continue, if I bother, but isn't there anything that can be done that's a bit more efficient? It's not a matter of life or death, of course. If there are rankings, they deserve to be as correct as possible.

Bug: still no ios18 icon for Strava. Cmon?!

In iOS 18 icon art should update according to the user customization of either dark, color or standard. All my other apps had this updated and ready to go by iOS 18 release date. Strava however, still hasn’t fixed it. Cmon!!!

web UIProfile / Settings / Gear / pick some shoes to changeupdate brand to ASICS, model to "Novablast 4 Yellow"saveitems is saved as "Novablast 4 yellow" ("y" is small, not uppercase)Change happens on server, not in web client, I checked.Before it worked without modifying case, and in case it was a newly introduced feature (by any chance) - other gear in my list was not updated.Please fix )
