Strava Features Chat

I recently subscribed to Strava, but I noticed that I don’t have access to the new share style, which I understand is available only for subscription accounts. Could you please let me know how I can enable or use this feature?

On 2 segments, I didn't even take the KOM, so I don't see why my result is excluded for those 3 segments, while the results for the other segments are included. You can review the entire ride and see that everything is fine.My HRM wasn't working because the battery ran out on my Garmin. You can see from all my previous rides that I use it, and it's not my intention to cheat or do anything suspicious, but to enjoy riding and achieve good results.I use Strava because I love segments, leaders, personal records, KOMs, but it feels like a lottery whether efforts will be considered at all.I hope you will consider my complaint because otherwise I wouldn't have written it here.Thank you for your understanding.

A friend of mine can't login to his Strava anymore and we think it is because of an inappropriate comment (joke) from his account to mine, that was reported. He did not receive any message of being banned or suspended but still can't login. Is there any way to discern being temporarily suspended from being perma banned? I can still see his account and activities but he gets a message of not being authorized to login when he tries it. 

Why isn't cyclocross a type of ride in Strava? Does anyone know a workaround? 

I’m trying to edit a new route and most (but not all) actions I try result in: “Error: Sorry, we couldn’t complete that action. Please try plotting the point again. This can occur when routing across large distances, so try plotting more frequent waypoints that are closer together.” I’m only creating or dragging points a few blocks apart. This also happens when I try to delete a waypoint. The entire route is only 1-2 miles long. Looks like an API error, but status.strava.com says all is operational. Again, this is sporadic, but not a result of 100% of my actions. edit: every action seems to be trying to calculate the resulting action from a point WAY far away. I’m in Oakland and editing a route in SF, but the calculation point is far to the west beyond both (see attachment). I even started a new route since the initial report, and this started in halfway through. Very frustrating to have basic route creating be this broken. edit 2: the route had placed a finish point somewhere near Buf

We just had a mountain bike race last night.  Apparently, a bunch of us had our rides auto-flagged because the system thought they were e-bike rides.  When I first looked at my ride in the mobile app, I saw a box at the top that asked me to clarify if it was an e-bike ride (ride had been flagged already).  At least it gave me an option to select “ride” at that point and it was all good for me.  For a number of others (see the links below), they did not get the notification as far as they were aware, but their rides were auto-flagged.  This was just a normal MTB race on our local trails.  We are not pro-level riders, so the efforts shouldn’t appear that extraordinary.  Heck, I don’t even think we were taking any KOMs/QOMs with the efforts, so it wasn’t even a comparison to existing times on segments.  It appears the new auto-flagging system is too sensitive if it is catching that many people in a single event that are all clearly legitimate, even with heart rate data to support it.Here

I have a main account and an account I don’t use. There are roughly three recent workouts I’d like to move to my main account, before deleting my other account. Is this possible?

My Strava runs are being auto populated with the Garmin titles whereas before it would just be morning run, evening run etc. does anyone know how to turn this off and go back to the generic titles? 

I am on the Strava website trying to view Flybys.  I’ve ensured that my global Flyby privacy setting is set to "Everyone" under Privacy Controls and my activities meet the "Everyone" privacy setting.  I tried deleting my cookies and refresh but that didn’t resolve the problem.  Is this a widespread issue?

Last few weeks I can only give approx 20 kudos to other athletes. When does Strava fix this? Unlimit kudos is absolute 

Iphone language danish. Written text in Strava app is danish. All good there - I am danish !The text in the Strava app for the artificial voice still seem to be in english. So english words pronounced by a danish speaking artificial voice. Example: "Nine" is a number in english text. When pronounced in english it sounds correct (najn), but "nine" pronounced with a danish speaking voice is "nee-ne". It is neither english nor danish and as such not understandable. So: When IOS is danish, the written text in Strava app is also danish. The artificial voice tries to speak danish, but is clearly served an english string of words to be pronounced with a fat danish accent. Not good !  

I am an athlete who has always used leaderboards as a motivational tool.As I get older, I have focused more on the age-related boards. Having crossed the age boundary into 55+, all the hills that I target are heavily populated by mis-categorised ebike rides. I appreciate that the AI tool is looking for obvious cheats/mistakes, perhaps a KOM in a car.For the E-bike problem I see, I suspect it is largely about more casual riders and ignorance of the rules. I see consistent patterns in the data: Low athlete activity levels, recorded on a phone, no HR/power data, cups on hills (but no other segments) slow times on all key metrics 5k, 10k, etc. My suggestion is that you set a performance threshold and automatically recategorise all rides that meet it. For example, given the E-bike issue (in Europe maybe not the US) is largely around hills, it would be simple to set a transparent rule that if you acheive, say, a VAM of over 1,000 on a segement and you don't meet certain criteria, t

Hey so I ran an activity I titled “running Coach Beta 10+K” and it’s supposed to be visible to everyone. Instead the Home feed is only showing crummy Samsung Galaxy watch walks. As a precaution I unsynced Strava under the ‘Samsung health” app but that didn’t change anything. I doubt that was the issue after all. Thus was one of my better times relatively speaking and I wanted it to show on the home feed. But it won’t. What can i do?https://www.strava.com/activities/16075796014

I’m wondering why my follower and following lists are no longer in alphabetical order?

I don’t need this information.  I don’t want this information.  Please give me a way to stop the notifications about event insights after my club events.   You should always provide a way to disable a specific notification before you start pushing that type of notification.

Probably been brought up before but i'd like to hide individual activities from a single follower.  Right now the options are "everyone, followers, no one".For example if someone's boss follows them and they are spending the winter in Spain rather than home in the UK 😉 😉 

On a new beta update today selecting maps causes the app to crash. Tried the usual actions such as force close, clear cache etc but it nothing works. Version 425.6

It would be super useful if Strava could introduce a feature where it is possible to search your saved routes by distance to a location - e.g. a slide bar and search bar for location to search within 10 km of a postcode or pin on the map. This would also be useful to do for activities in the search past activities. I’ve made a lot of routes and have to remember what each is called and where it is, which I can’t always do so being able to filter by location would be amazing. Or even as previous topics have suggested to have your routes put onto a map overlapping for visualisation would help too.It would also be useful if this feature took into account the whole route, so if any of the route passes within a 20 km circle from the location specified

Previously, after new segment was created it’s stats was updated within few hours with previous attempts of other athletes. Now I can see only one my attempt from the activity from which the segment was created. Other athletes attempts are added only if they run the segment after creation. Is it a new feature? How can I re-calculate historic data for the segment?

I’ve just downloaded the RunStory app, but it’s not syncing my runs? It’s connected to Strava. My Wattbike ride that didn’t sync to Strava, synced to the RunStory app though. Appreciate any help or advice. Thanks.

Hello, Recently I was cleaning my notification feed but at the same time I was prompted to eventually modify my activity. I clicked on finish and it crashed the app, merging the home and Notification Center. 

I have two starred segments under My Segments, one of which is clearly not one I starred. I tap the orange star but it stays orange and never gets removed. 

Hi! I’m on my phone and I can only see about 200 of the 330 people I follow. Recently 3 people unfollowed me, and I’d like to unfollow them back, but they’re in the group that I can’t see. I usually do follow-for-follow, so I want to keep it balanced. Does Strava show all followers and following if I log in on a laptop or computer? I’m not sure how to fix this and it’s a bit confusing lol
