Strava Features Chat

I often use this widget for quickly starting a ride and also traking but after an update, it seems to have broken…(I use a pixel 7a)It used to be a 3x2 and not 3x1 

I know where I ran, the time I started and the time I finished. I'd like to be able to have a map in my activity. When my smart band has problems recording my actitivity I'm either stuck with wrong ou incomplete info or I have the right info and no map.It would also be great if strava had more options to lightely edit activities: merge, divide, correct time stamp. It's inconvenient to rely on 3rd party apps for those.

While looking at a segment I rode last week, I discovered that a friend of mine is faster than me, at least based on the people I follow.Now, neither of us are lightweights and both fall into the "115 kg and heavier" category.And, if I look at this category/list, we're both in the top 10, but then I'm the fastest, not him.My speed is 34.7 km/h in both categories. If I look at his speed, it's 37.3 km/h in the "I follow" category and 34.4 km/h in the weight category.These are also two different activities for him.How can he have two different PRs on the exact same segment?  

Hello, recently I noticed something changed with my mobile app. When I go for rides I like to explore, so I will search for segments I would like to ride before my ride. I usually open the segment I want to ride to see where it is located and then I would see a blue live dot that would display my location. This way I can check where to go to get closer to the segment starting point. I don't use the map feature for this because most of the time the segment won't even show since I am mainly interested in downhill segments. Also, the maps feature does not work when there is no good signal, so the live segment locator dot would still work when there is no signal. On my last ride I had a hard time seeing where I was in relation to the beginning and ending of the segment and got a bit lost in the middle of nowhere so I find this change unsafe. Is this feature gone for good or is there something I can do to see where I am as I get closer to the segment even when there is no signal?

just turn off Athlete Intelligence by accidental and really need to turn it on.

Does Strava have plans to upgrade any other sporting activities to the same level as running swimming and biking? We walkers and boaters would love equal access to our statistics. Thank you for considering. 

I want to create a route for a Run that involves some trail running sections that are not mapped but show up on the heat map.  When I go to create map the heat map disappears.  Why is this?  Why does a heatmap need to be sport specific.  Most Trails are multi use and there doesn’t seem to be an option to show all heatmap information combined with the ability to create route.  It would be even better if you could create a route to follow the heatmap.

When I set a user capacity this number is not shown for the members.I would like to have an option for a waiting queue for members when the limit is reached.(show queue amount and place for member in the queue)Increasing the limit or when someone does not reserve anymore they will be put in the list

Hi,I think there should be an option to disable activity memories and I am fairly sure there currently is not. I see there are other posts about this and directions to feature requests none of which seems to exist.I can think of a number of reasons someone may want to disable this feature:- One or more activities with a person who has died- Same as above but with a partner they have since left- Anything else where someone does not want reminders, a soured friendship, etc…- Worsening with age meaning you would rather not compare to your former self- Similar to above but you had an illness- On a counterpoint, many of the activities from however long ago are not of any note so just form feed clutter- And just plain "comparison is the thief of joy". You want the social features but would prefer not to race yourselfThis seems an easy an unobtrusive feature toggle to add. Why not just add it?ThanksDaniel

When trying to access my progress page. I have deleted the app multiple times and redownloaded it. I have powered off my phone as well while the app was deleted. I have logged out of the app and re logged into it, I’ve done all of the above at the same time and separately. I don’t know what else to do. edit: I also can’t do the strava transparent sticker anymore when I try to share I’m limited to ONLY viewing a 3d replay

On the mobile app when go from You » Profile » Subscription Overview, it states on my account “You’ve been a subscriber since August 2024.”However, I was billed today (March 3rd) for my annual subscription renewal. I went back in my email and see that this is the correct date for the billing - I originally signed up for annual subscription on March 3rd 2025. I have no clue where this August 2024 is coming from.I would like support in requesting processing a refund due to the misleading representations in the app which lead me to believe I would be due for an annual fee in August, not March.Additionally, I would like the Strava developer team to investigate this bug and fix it so no further users experience this same issue.

Do you lose your past activities /logs when switching to the family plan?

For a few weeks now I've been facing the following situation: in the Strava app I have notifications but no warning bubbles appear on the home screen. I've uninstalled the app, cleared cache and data, checked the settings but to no avail. What should I do?

Hello, I was charged although I canceled my free trial. Strava kept on trying to bill me again and again, therefore unathorized. It is also taking a long time to receive an answer about this. I sumbitted the tickets about my concern on why they kept trying to charge me and today they ended up charging me. How long does the wait times usually take? 

I’ve given up waiting for Strava to give us a way to show Elapsed Time. Some of you may already know this trick, hitting PAUSE and immediately RESUME during an activity (do this just once) and your run or ride will show Moving and Elapsed Time with just a second or two off the clock.   

The Galloway method is worldwide and used by runners in the thousands, why has Strava not taking it to the next level and have live interval walk run walk  capability 

I used to create (most of) my routes with the Squadrats plugin, which gives an overlay of completed ‘tiles’ and adds new ones in green while creating a route.It seems to be gone now… Does it still work? It is a Chrome extension (as well as some other browsers I believe).

Hello, I tried submitting a ticket because I had a subscription unauthorized. However, this system is very frustrating because it only says “Ask a question,” repeatedly. It’s making it very hard to do one so I finally got the AI Assistant to send the email to a specialist, not sure if that’s the ticket though.

​I believe Strava would benefit from more granular privacy settings for activities. Currently, the options are limited to Everyone, Followers, or Only You. Adding a fourth option—"Selected Friends" or a "Close Friends" list—would be a significant improvement. This would allow users to share specific workouts exclusively with a coach or a small inner circle without broadcasting to their entire follower list, balancing social motivation with personal privacy.

I’d like to merge an old account.  Unfortunately I don’t have access to the email address for the old account.  Once the data is merged to new account, I’d like to delete the old account.  Is this possible?

When I give someone a kudos on my iPhone, When I refresh the page, it disappears and I have to do it again. It was doing it yesterday as well.

Login with Facebook is going to expire soon, but I’m not able to change nor confirm my email? In 2 weeks am I loosing my account?How the simplest thing ever “changing/confirming their own email account” is the IMPOSSIBLE thing in Strava? Does strava want to lose many account in one shot? 

My friend I run together at the same time, pace and using same watch. My strava results are different from her. My moving and elapse time shows different results, although we did not stop throughout the run. Additionally, I got 5:46/km pace and she got 9:12/km which definitely accurate than mine. We are using Huawei Fit 3.
