Hi,
I think there should be an option to disable activity memories and I am fairly sure there currently is not. I see there are other posts about this and directions to feature requests none of which seems to exist.
I can think of a number of reasons someone may want to disable this feature:
- One or more activities with a person who has died
- Same as above but with a partner they have since left
- Anything else where someone does not want reminders, a soured friendship, etc…
- Worsening with age meaning you would rather not compare to your former self
- Similar to above but you had an illness
- On a counterpoint, many of the activities from however long ago are not of any note so just form feed clutter
- And just plain "comparison is the thief of joy". You want the social features but would prefer not to race yourself
This seems an easy an unobtrusive feature toggle to add. Why not just add it?
