Whenever I go to the Map section, I can’t look for Gravel rides, even though it says I should be able toI can create one myself, but can only see either road ride, ou mountain bikes rides.Anyone facing the same issue? I have the full subscription. Thanks for your help! 

Hi everyone- my wife and I both use the Strava app rather than a watch to record our walks, and both have the identical up to date versions of Strava app on our iPhones (she has 14 and I have an iPhone SE.) She is unable to see steps when she records a walk- sees distance, time, elevation but not steps, whereas I have steps.i have consulted all the online support articles, followed all the steps regarding linking Strava  to the Health app in iPhone for steps, but none of this seems to make any difference, the issue still prevails.Strava support has suggested I need to add a sensor when I record a walk, but none come up when I try to do that.Has anyone encountered a similar issue and/or can suggest steps required to resolve this, as I’ve tried everything and so far, no joy at all?Thanks and regards Chris

When viewing the Gravel Heatmap, you also see a lot of normal paved roads highlighted. This could be prevented if you could exclude the roads that are also used a lot by a roadbike heatmap. A lot of times it is very difficult to know what the nice gravel roads are in an area because a lot of ‘gravel’ rides are probably also winter rides on asphalt.

Hello, until recently it was possible to show (personal and/or global) heatmaps in the "Maps" and "Record" Mode in the Android App by selecting them in the layer-filter. This selection is still possible, but: although selected, the heatmaps are just not shown in the map! It's broken just for me? Or is that a new bug? Is there any way else to see heatmaps in the Android App apart from viewing a finished activity? (Whichs trace obstructs the heatmap...🙄)Thanks!

I don't have a sports year and I'm a subscriber. I've tried everything: updating the app, deleting and redownloading it, logging out and back in... What else can I do?

I recently subscribed to Strava, but I noticed that I don’t have access to the new share style, which I understand is available only for subscription accounts. Could you please let me know how I can enable or use this feature?  

When I view an activity, mine or someone else’s, the map isn’t visible and instead a message is displayed, “Error occured in map rendering engine.”When I see activities in the feed or on my profile, the summary/overview maps do show.I’ve tried the following without success:logging in and out clearing cookies clearing cache using a different browser. Problem is happening in Chrome, Chrome (incognito), Firefox.Using a Windows 11 machine, web browser.

For about a week now Strava has been taking about 1:30 to even load the app all the way on my Pixel 6a. After a couple taps on the screen then you have to wait another 1:30 for the next screen. I only use mobile data. Before everything was fine. I've tried clearing the cache, reinstalling the app and even going back an older version. When installing the app it takes forever to install. I've tried various permission settings with the same result. Updated the Android to the latest version. If I log out of the app it goes to a blank gray screen but disabling the 5G internet, Strava login screen pops up and have to renable the 5g and then log back in waiting another 1:30 for everything to load. I've connected my device to another mobile phone with the same result. 

Since Strava is not listening, Im calling on ebike riders to fix this problem ourselves.1. Find the existing segments you normally ride, 2. Go ride them on your ebike and upload as an ebike ride.3. Create the same segments but as ebike segments, with similar naming but with an "e" infront.If all of us do this for all the routes we ride, we can fix this ourselves.

I experience this with all the “schaatsen” segments on the ice track of the Jaap Eden baan in Amsterdam. How come? 

I hate the pop up that asks "do you want to share this activity" when I make a screenshot. This just started happening a day ago. When try to make a screenshot a pop up appears and prevents me from doing screenshots normally. It stops me from doing what I want with a screenshot and using my phone's features. I don’t want the canned Strava sharing images. Anyone else have this problem? 

I took an FTP test a month ago and got a new FTP. But I forgot to enter it back then. I’ve always been able to go in an enter an updated FTP in the past and apply the date of the test to the updated FTP which would then be applied to subsequent activities. That is gone. Can I do this somewhere else?

About 1 week ago I lost the ability to add routes to my events (Chrome Browser Desktop). The dropdown menu is empty when I am creating the event. The workaround is to go back and edit the event with my Pixel Phone, and the route can be added at this time, but this is cumbersome and i’m hopeful that this issue will be fixed.The 2nd issue is that my club is no longer getting notifications when I create events. Issue popped up at the same time, and people are literally thinking that I am phasing them out of communication. As a workaround, I am posting the link to a discord server for visibility, but again, this is extremely cumbersome. Other admins on the team are reporting the same exact problem(s). 

If I receive a notification about a completed activity by a friend, say a run, when I click on it to view it, the map is zoomed out so far I can see the most of Europe and Africa. Is this a bug in an update or have I switched something?

Feedback for the product team: The weekly heatmap is so blurry that it's pretty much unusable.  Example - here's the same spot in the map, weekly vs. gobal heatmap. There's some construction going on in that area so it would be helpful to know which side of the river has been open/closed for traffic. The weekly heatmap would seem to be a great tool for that purpose, but the path is terribly blurry, too wide to actually give any useful information. The level of detail on global heatmap shows that it's perfectly possible to distinguish the paths.  Could the weekly map simply use the same width as the global?   

As of last Sunday my gravel ride with map type `dirt’ appears with a completely black background on Strava. This also applies to several `dirt’ rides of other gravel bikers. This is the case on both Safari and FireFox. On my iPhone everything looks normal. A friend noticed the same on her Windows laptop.Any clue what causes this, and, more importantly, how to get rid of it?Thanks, Jan Willem.

Why Strava stopped managing activities logged under multiple entries? Even with multiple recording devices (sports watch, bike computer) I’ve always made sure my that my strava activities are logged as one effort, making sure that my ‘actual’ mileage is accurate.  If I remember correctly, Strava was monitoring this and flagging duplicate entries, much like how segments are being protected.But now i see that this is no longer the case, with some profiles posting way too much mileage, only to find out they have multiple entries for a single activity.With this, i am slowly losing my interest in making this accurate anymore, giving me another reason to unsubscribe and just be one of the free users.  Else what’s the point in reporting year end achievements if it’s false.

Is there a specific reason why pictures on strava profiles are limited to max. 100 photos? And new pictures remove the oldest ones?To me this is an awful implementation! Strava’s only appeal is the “social network of sport”. Group activities with friends and pictures are sort of crucial and the whole reason for using strava over any other tracking app. But it is not even possible to see your old pictures from past activities if you have reached 100 photos and keep posting pictures for new activities. Why? As if instagram or facebook deletes old pictures and posts with friends when you reached a certain number. Your thoughts? Any chance developers will update this? Really disappointed (Yes I checked: apparently pictures are still stored in the activities, not sure at full quality, but they just get removed from your main gallery….)

There's an odd discrepancy between the route edit mode and viewing the saved route. (Note - I’m not using routes too much so I might have missed something obvious, just let me know if that's the case - or, if this is already discussed, please point me to the right direction, I haven't found an existing thread.)Steps: downloaded a gpx file prepared by a race organiser (source: here) logged into Strava (web version) > Create route > Import GPX choose route name, select sport type (running), save open the Strava app (iOS mobile app) > Maps > saved routes > open the most recently saved route Expected result: when opening the saved route in the mobile app, the route should correspond to the designed path accurately 

I’ve got Strava set up to use Celsius in the interface settings, and it shows up in the ride summary, however when I go to the “Analysis” tab the graph is all in Fahrenheit. I recently noticed notifications about keeping my weekly streak alive. I’m sure many people find the feature helpful to motivate them, but I don’t need it at all, and would rather not have yet another thing keeping my notification icon badged. I would love a way to turn off streak tracking.

Why am I seeing two very different cycling distance/elevation totals for this month? For example, the total in the 800K challenge is currently 691 km, but when I go down into the overall standings, I'm only shown with 611 km. Elevation challenges shows 6,114 m at the top, but then 5,121 m when I go down to my ranking. I have not entered any cycling events manually this month.

Hi all,  When I try to open my saved routes on mobile app, I have the following error pop up message: “something went wrong, please try again”I already try to:- log out/log in - log out, delete app / reinstall app and log in - also restarted the phone the same problem persists. This is very annoying since I’m mostly paying strava for this feature. Does anyone have a solution? thanks in advance. 

I’m not sure if it’s just me, but the recently updated functionality to flag Activities is currently not working and I get this error…  The Activity I am trying to report is number 12924442083 - a “bike ride” with a sustained speed over 70 mph (where the speed limit is 50 mph)
