I, as I’m sure many others on here, make my own training plans. Part of the fun of training for me is experimenting with what works and what doesn’t. I’ve tried many different methods for creating my training plans for the future and have settled on creating them in a spreadsheet and adding details for each block as I get there. It would be really convenient if there was a way to create and view custom plans in Strava. I’m imagining something similar to the training log but that is forward looking. This would allow me to more easily create my training plans and analyze my data all in one place and would eliminate the need to use a third party app like Google Sheets, Excel, or TrainingPeaks. I’m sure this could also be integrated with Runna for a more seamless experience for those using that app and maybe would open the door for coaches to plan activities for their athletes like you can in other apps. It could also be set up to notify me of what I have planned for the day the way the training plans from McMillan used to.

 

This certainly falls in the bucket of things that would be nice but aren’t necessary, but I think it would be REALLY nice.
