picture size to share

Since several days, the sharing function is not working properly.

The app modify the size and ratio of the original pictures, uploaded, when sharing pictures.

All the pictures are sharing in a portrait format even if the original format is landscape or square.

As I’ve paid a subscription for that app, i’m not satisfied because i can’t share to my friends and my family all my activities with distance and speed on the picture with the good format ?

Is there a way to modify the format of the mixité shared or when are going to fix the issue ?

I hope the strava PMs or Devs see this and decide to revert the change OR AT LEAST give the user the option to choose the aspect ratio they want to export their run image in.

I concur.  It seems that all maps and images are exported in portrait format, frequently cropping out aspects of the photo/map in the process.  Additionally, the previews displayed in the “share activity” portion of the app no longer accurately depict what is actually shared/exported.

I am also very frustrated by this change. Why are you changing something that had been working well for a long time? Please revert the last update - now I directly share my stats from Garmin app instead of Strava - so why should I continue with Strava subsciptions, when I can’t use it properly for sharing?

Hundred per cent agree. I found this feed after searching for the same issue. Why are they only portrait? It makes no sense whatsoever to crop these images, and they look pants. Most of us have group photos taken in landscape, and the map should be complete. Duh.

Frustrated user here. Came here to check for a fix or an answer but see it’s not sorted out. It’s not the only useful feature Strava had removed with recent ‘upgrades’. Do they run any testing with real users before releasing upgrades? Similarly, some added features are borderline useless. It makes me question the value of my subscription.

I can confirm the team is aware of the photo issues and currently working on a fix.
The fix should be out relatively soon.

The update paraphrase. They fixed it by *checks notes* not fixing it or giving us the only thing we actually asked for and then marking the issue as solved.

Just another user chiming in that this is definitely not fixed regardless of you marking issues as fixed. You broke something that it seems was working perfectly fine. Will be looking for another tracking service and canceling my sub if I have to jump through hoops just to get a decent picture of a saved activity.

Updated but not fixed.  There's a clear disconnect between your product department and customer opinion.  If you've actually used the app yourself you will know this to be true.
