Since last couple of weeks, the community hub keeps logging me out quite often / after short time of inactivity, saying that the session has expired. Before, the page would keep me logged in. Has anything changed in the website configuration? (I keep using the same browser - Chrome on iOS - there probably were some app updates in the meantime as well).

That happens von time to time. You have to delete all cookies with "Strava" in their origin and after your new login your account will be remembered for a while.
