Hey all! It's Jane & Scout!
On behalf of all of Strava we want to welcome you to the Strava Community Hub. We have a tradition here, where each month we ask our members to introduce themselves and share a little bit of info so we can get to know you better.
This month, letβs talk about food! Specifically, whatβs your favorite snack to pack along during an activity, or to have after youβre done? When heading out on a long(ish) bike ride, Jane always brings along an orange and a few almonds. After a long run, she often craves and eats a banana 🍌. Weirdly, Jane doesn't really like bananas and this is the only time she will ever eat one. As for Scout, she'll usually have some trail mix that includes some M&M's on hand.
June is also a special month because itβs pride month!
To recognize Pride Month, Strava invites you to join the Sweat With Pride Challenge. Weβre challenging people on Strava to get out and walk at least a mile in support of the LGBTQ+ community. You have all of June to join and complete this challenge. Once completed, youβll add Stravaβs most colorful badge to your trophy case and join us in making a donation to the ACLU Drag Defense Fund in support of the LGBTQ+ community.
Big Kudos to our internal LGBTQ+ employee resource group, Pride@Strava, for bringing us this challenge.
In addition, you can add a LGBTQ+ inspired polyline to your activity map!
To add this polyline to your activity from your mobile device tap the ellipsis icon (the three dots) in the upper right-hand corner of the activity and select Edit Activity > Change Map Type.
From the web, click on the pencil icon to edit your activity and click the drop down under Map Type. Choose the Pride map type to show your support!
For more info, take a look at this Strava support article on Custom Activity Lines.
Drop us a comment, introduce yourself, let us know what snacks you take along on your activities; or just say hi! We're happy to have you here.
