Happy April and welcome to the Hub!

We want to extend a warm welcome to those of you who are new to the hub and a big thank you to those of you who have taken the time to join, read and post; we appreciate each one of you!

For those of you in the northern hemisphere the days are getting longer, the weather warmer, and the trees and flowers are starting to bloom - it's springtime! You may start to see more folks joining you on your favorite outdoor adventures as they move their workouts from indoor to outdoor. This is the perfect time of year to come together to celebrate and find ways to protect our planet.

On April 22 almost 200 countries across the world will join together to celebrate Earth Day. With cities around the world hosting Earth Day events, there's a way for almost everyone to get involved. Not sure how you can help? Join a clean up, plant trees, use refillable water bottles, compost and ditch the car on your commute are just a few ways you can participate in Earth Day. If you use Strava to track your commute, be sure to complete the Earth Day is Leg Day Challenge (April 1 - 22) for a chance to win an e-bike & more!

And there’s even more going on in April! Two of the six World Marathon Majors will be held - The Boston Marathon, on April 15, and the London Marathon on April 21. The latter will have three of the top four fastest women vying to set a new women’s-only world record; Ethiopia’s Tigst Assefa and Kenya’s Brigid Kosgei & Ruth Chepngetich. Assefa, the current world record holder, set the record at last September’s BMW Berlin Marathon with a time of 2:11:53; smashing the previous record of 2:14:04 set in 2019 by Brigid Kosgei of Kenya.

With all that's happening in April, we'd love to know what you'll be doing this month. Or just reply and say 'Hi' and introduce yourselves; we'd love to hear from you! And best of luck to all the runners participating in the Boston & London Marathons!
