Good day, I'm having trouble seeing any flybys.  It is showing my route but no other riders.  I've been out on busy days at popular spots and a few people I've ridden recorded rides but did not show up on flybys.

I checked my privacy settings and all seems fine.  I haven't seen any flybys on my last 10 rides or so, not one.  Any suggestions or solutions?

Hello @Bobbychomes

Thanks for posting about this.

You may not always see other athletes in Flyby—whether an athlete appear in Flyby depends on the athlete's privacy settings.

Heyx, I have the same problem that I cannot see any flybys since the end of May.:/

Hello- is there any other answer to this? I also have changed my privacy to everyone- yet the flyby is not working. I was at an event with 1500 people, plus my husband who had it turned on and we rode together. I have to imagine one person had this feature on, as well as the fact my husband did. Other ideas why it does not show up on my map? Thanks! It would be super fun to see where I was in relation to certain teammates.

My most recent activity was completed with a friend who rode the same route (at least 98-99% the same over 17+ miles. The maps look identical, however it did not match us or show up on flybys. We both verified we have flybys turned on, and I matched with someone else who had a very low spatial correlation score. I invited her to join my ride, which was accepted but now it shows up as two separate rides for her.

@BermChasin - When you invite someone to join your ride, you are essentially giving them a copy of your ride data to use as their own activity.  It isn't linking your rides, it is meant to share your data with them in case they did not record the ride at all.  That is why it shows up as a second activity for them in your case since they already have their own file.

thanks for the reply. I know that, however, my bigger issue is that strava didnt automatically link the rides, (or have an option to link rides together). We rode the same route at the same time so it should have found us as a close flyby at least. I do not understand why our separate activities were not joined.

Yesterday I rode with a friend and I had no flybys with anyone and it didn't group me with him as it usually does. I have deleted this ride which was uploaded via my Garmin 530. I then uploaded it direct from the unit to the website via file upload and now I have flyby data and I have been grouped with him. This may work for you but it's hardly the solution I was looking for.

This is such a cop out answer.

Yes you have to change your privacy settings, we all know that.
When there are hundreds of people out on the road and no one is showing up on FlyBys when there were people everywhere previously then something is wrong.

Something isn't working with the Flybys functionality and it isn't a user issue.
Please look into this matter rather than providing this kind of substance-free response.

Hi. I've just found out that Flyby won't work if the starting point of your ride is hidden, regardless of the privacy settings.

Not in my case, my starting point is always hidden and I mostly get flybys.

This is not the issue... There were probably 200-300 people at Richmond park last night and no flybys showing.. This started a couple of weeks ago. I have other rides not loading athletes too.
