Hardest app to learn. How do I...?

townie-woods
Mt. Kenya

I downloaded Strava a couple of days ago, not for the social aspect - I'm in a *very* remote area of Canada's North and nobody else rides here - but because I heard it's great at tracking info.

I like it so far because of the amount of *correct* data available during and after my trail rides.

I can't get Strava to show me my heart rate while cycling. It's connected via my Samsung Watch5/Health, but doesn't show on screen during or after. How can I make that happen?

Also, I'd like to share my activities with friends and family on the other side of the continent on Facebook or text. I press "share" but they have to join Strava to view it. Am I missing something?

And lastly, there's no manual, instructions, or video less than 2-3 years old, and the interface has changed a lot.

Edit: what the heck is Mont Blanc under my name? Is it supposed to be where I am??

Are you recording with the Strava app on your phone, or on the watch? If you're using the phone, you apparently can't -- see this thread:

Not sure on this one. It used to be that you had to be registered with Strava to view an activity, even if it is set to public. I just tested with one of my own activities (using a private browser window) and I'm not able to see it without logging in, so my guess is that is still the case.

Is there a specific thing you're looking for? Strava has a lot of documentation at https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/categories/202558427-Help-Support on various features. Most of that information is reasonably up-to-date.
