Strava maps and routes are great and help we in planning my rides, runs and hikes.
Great also that there are now more categories (i.e. Ride, Run, Walk, Trail Run, Gravel Ride, Mountain Bike)

2 features are missing for me to manage My Routes:

1. A capability to change the category from one to another - Sometimes one recorded the route under the wrong category. Now with the new categories, I would like to recategorize My Routes accordingly.

2. Please allow sorting and searching within My Routes, so that it becomes easier to find the required route among the many others.

If there are any workarounds at the moment, would appreciate guidance. Otherwise, hope above could be added to the already great functionality of Strava

Hi Mar_G,

Thanks so much for your post and ideas.  We had a similar suggestion about organizing and sorting routes here:

Check it out and feel free to add comments and your vote (kudo).

Thank you for your contributions, we value your input.

hey @Mar_G !

Regarding #1, I think you can do that. First go to My Routes on the web:

https://www.strava.com/athlete/routes

Find the route you want to change, then click to edit it. (You can either click to view the individual route, then click the Edit button near top. OR you can click the little wrench icon, then Edit Route.

Then you can change activity type in the top left area of the route editor:

Regarding #2, I agree being able to sort and search would be great. Perhaps a search bar to search by keyword, and ability to sort by title. In the meantime, there are two features to save time as a workaround. Filtering, and star...

I recommend using the star sparingly to keep certain ones at the top, then unstar them if you're done with them for awhile.

If that helps, please click Accept Solution button 😎
