Route builder not letting me save route

I created a new route in route builder but once I finalized the route the button you would normally click on to save the route ("save route") is still in gray and not clickable. I've created hundreds of routes before and never ran into this. Any ideas? See pic below for reference. You can see that there is a start and end point so I have no idea why it's not letting me save the route.

As Strava managers haven't solved this issue, I'll tell you what works for me.

You'll probably have to undo (go back) many waypoints until the Save button goes orange again. Try to do this. Hope it doesn't erase much of your progress.

I've seen this problem when I go in manual mode and add waypoints really fast. Go back until you find the orange save button and continue at a slower pace, making sure the orange save button is activated in each waypoint you add.

To add up: go back until button is available and go slow then.

I was able to 'unlock' the Save button by adding another ending waypoint (by clicking somewhere close to the actual end of the route) and then removing that endpoint with Undo. Strava let me click the Save button. The saving operation failed, but I repeated adding and removing the phony end point, and then an attempt to save the route succeeded.

Was this ever ACTUALLY resolved? Seems like every thread I come across says Please submit a ticket. How does that help the community? This is a forum - which is suppose to be where we go to get answers, not to be dismissed and told to "Submit a ticket"...
