Happy May and thanks for stopping by! Our Community Hub continues to thrive thanks to each and everyone of you. If you’re new here, please take a look around; there’s a lot to take in. Not sure where to start? Check out this post.
May brings us a number of celebrations across the globe. Here in the United States, we celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage (AAPI) Month. Throughout May, and all year long, we hope you join us in recognizing the contributions and accomplishments of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islander Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States.
To celebrate AAPI Month, Strava invites you to join the AAPI Month Mindful Movement Challenge. We’re challenging people on Strava to get out and do 15 minutes of activity for 8 days this month. You have all of May to join and complete this challenge. Once completed, you’ll earn a digital finisher's badge for your Trophy Case.
Kudos to our Internal Pan-Asian employee resource group Pan-Asian@Strava, for bringing us this challenge.
May is also Mental Health Awareness Month. Join us as we observe the strength of those living with mental health conditions, and recognize the dedicated mental health professionals and friends & family who support them. You can join Strava & NYRR in celebrating running’s profound impact on mental well-being by registering for the Virtual NYRR Mental Health Awareness Month Challenge. Complete a total of 31 miles to earn a digital finisher badge.
