I would like to request support for Scuba Diving as an official sport type in Strava.
At the moment, scuba dives imported from devices such as the Apple Watch Ultra are treated as generic workouts because “Scuba Diving” is not available as a supported activity type.
Modern dive computers and the Apple Watch Ultra can record structured dive data such as:
- Dive duration
- Maximum depth
- Average depth
- Water temperature
- Dive location
- Number of dives
It would be very useful if Strava could support Scuba Diving as a distinct sport type, both at the activity level and, where technically possible, through the API.
This would allow divers to maintain their complete sporting history on Strava without having to incorrectly classify dives as swimming or generic workouts.
Scuba Diving has also been requested by Strava users in the past, so I believe there is an existing user demand for this feature.
