Hi, I’m working on a bicycle maintenance application. An authenticated athlete's Strava activities are used to increment usage counters for components installed on that athlete's own bicycles — for example distance, elevation and hours used for a chain, tyre or suspension component.
I understand that the underlying Strava activity records cannot be retained beyond the permitted caching period, and we are happy to delete those records within seven days.
Our question is specifically about the resulting maintenance state. For example, if Strava activities establish that a chain has accumulated 1,250 km since installation, may Ridgeline Workshop retain the value 1,250 km for the lifetime of that component after the underlying activity records have been deleted?
The value is retained solely to provide bicycle maintenance functionality to the authenticated athlete. It is not used for cross-user analytics, advertising, benchmarking, AI/ML, resale or disclosure to other users or third parties.
We are currently at the 10-athlete Standard Tier limit and preparing our Developer Program compliance application, so we would like to ensure our data model complies with the current API Policy before submitting.
