Hello,
I'm building a cycling application called Riding.
I understand that activity data obtained through the Strava API may no longer be displayed to other users.
However, I'd like to clarify a different use case.
A user connects their Strava account and sees only their own routes.
The user then explicitly selects one of their own routes and chooses "Share this route with the Riding community."
The route becomes a community route that other Riding users can discover and download.
The sharing is entirely initiated by the route owner and can be revoked at any time.
Would this workflow be permitted under the current API Agreement?
If not, would the same workflow be permitted if the user manually exports a GPX file from Strava and uploads it into Riding instead of using the API?
Thank you!
Question
Can users explicitly contribute their own routes to a community application?
