Hi,

As of today, all upload activity requests from my app are failing with a 403. I've not made any changes on my end recently, and the app settings look correct and active in the developer dashboard.

Logs show:

httpStatus: 403,
body: '{"message":"Forbidden","errors":[{"resource":"Application","field":"Status","code":"Inactive"}]}'

Could you let me know what this means and a possible way to bring the app back online.

Thank you,
Leonard

Hi @Victo

Your API application is currently inactive because the owner of your app does not have an active Strava subscription. A Strava subscription is a requirement for all applications in our Developer Program’s Standard Tier. To reactivate your app, please ensure you are logged into the Strava account that owns the application before purchasing a subscription. You can then reactivate your app directly via your API Settings Dashboard.

Additional information about our recent Developer Program update can be found here as well as in our FAQ.

Thanks for clarifying, that detail was a bit hidden and I hadn't realised it would take effect so soon without further communication. Good to know the cause though.

Back online!

Hi @Victo

Your API application looks active in our backend. If you’re still running into issues please reach out to developers@strava.com so we can take a deeper look. Thanks!

Found the issue. I subscribed with the production version of the app, but was testing with the developer version of the app (on a different account, which was still on the free plan).
