Does the API/Developer Team Exist?

After submitting my app for approval back in March - I expected to hear back within the stated 7-10 business days. I have followed up weekly, with only automated replies. And now it’s May. 

After perusing this forum, where I see many questions about other people not hearing back within the stated timeframe - I begin to wonder: does the developer team even monitor the developers@strava.com email? Or has Strava fired that entire team and left it on life support? 

Truly - this is disappointing. I don’t what else to say here, except that the customer support is dismal.

Have also been waiting for several weeks following the initial response with request for additional information. Have written several e-mails in the meantime. No response except auto replies.

Super disappointing that there is no reaction from the team here whatsoever given how many threads and comments regarding this have been added recently.
And very unfortunate that there is no way to track any progress regarding the request etc. so that we could at least know whether it actually arrived or got lost somewhere

I’m at 5 weeks now, and nothing. Zero followup, zero response. Is there anyone that is monitoring anything on their side for increasing athlete connection API limits? I wonder if they’ve frozen everything because of their IPO push. It would be good if they could at least tell us that.

This is not reassuring. Judging by everyone’s comments here I’m going to be waiting a long time. I am only 2 weeks in. I was really hoping to have a response after this weekend.

I did not hear any feedback after two weeks. It is so disappointing. I wonder if they really care about our requests.

Same experience here. Submitted rate limit increase on April 6th, followed up on April 20th and May 1st — still no response. Our app (Pursuit Tag) has surpassed 999 athletes connected and we have 300+ on waitlist. Ticket #13854. Would really appreciate any update from the team.

Here is only a moderator from Strava who deletes posts unrelated to the API approx. twice a week. Why they obviously read all the posts but don’t comment I don’t understand at all.

I’m debating whether to just request 999 immediately instead of something like 100.

Given how long approvals take (if they even happen), it feels like you only get one real shot. But I’m not sure if asking for 999 right away hurts approval chances.

Did you start small or go straight for 999? And did your first request take this long too?

Same, I applied in March, and it’s now May without any replies to my requests for updates. It’s so disappointing, I worked on my app for so long to just get a dead end!

I got my feedback today! After like three weeks. And sadly a refusal without any reasoning but I got it …

I got approved after 2 weeks, I sent a reminder mail yesterday but I think it’s just a coincidence, also asked for 100 athletes but got 999. I’m so happy

Same here, it’s super frustrating… sent multiple emails, been blocked for months now
