E-bike differentiation
Will it be possible on Strava in the foreseeable future to categorize e-bike activities in a more differentiated way?
Since I started riding an electric road bike, I’ve noticed that I have virtually no chance of achieving personal records, segment results, or QOMs. This is because everything—from a standard pedelec to a tuned electric mountain bike—is currently treated the same. As a result, the tracking and competitive experience is significantly diminished.
A more nuanced classification of e-bikes would make performance comparisons much fairer and more meaningful for riders using different types of electric assistance.
