We have a running club in our office.

I am the developer of an application currently using the Strava API (Client ID:  126230.

Recently, some new users encountered the error:
"Error 403: Limit of connected athletes exceeded",
even though we believe we haven't reached the 100-athlete limit for development applications.

Could you please help us verify our current usage, and if needed, grant a quota increase?

This application is intended to help a small group of runners automatically track and analyze their activities via Google Sheets.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

All newly created apps will have an athlete capacity of 1, aka “Single Player Mode”. Developers in Single Player Mode can use their app solely for themselves, and can access their own data. We do not delineate between “development apps” and there is not a bespoke limit for those apps.

Please review our documentation and submit the form at the bottom of the page for review. Please note that rate limit and athlete capacity increases are not guaranteed if your application is not optimized for managing capacity and/or not leveraging webhooks.

The review process typically takes between 7-10 business days, unless we require any additional information regarding your app. If that’s the case, we’ll reach out to you. If you haven’t heard back in that time, please reach out to developers@strava.com
